  1. Nah, not in Germany. People who live near the airport (opened 1936) will still try to get the airport shut down or made otherwise economically unviable rather than move to any of the 99% of the country that is blissfully unaware of the airport.

  2. I’d accept the principal, if it wasn’t for the tendency of those who relocate to then attempt to change the place they’ve relocated to, to resemble the place they’ve relocated from.
