  1. You’re missing the point Tim.

    The Left in the UK don’t want to actually solve the problem. They’d lose voters, given as people become less dependent on the state, they are less likely to vote for them.

    They just want to be seen to be doing something *perceived* as progressive, but which is actually at best ineffective and at worst counter-productive, hence locking in their support.

  2. Fortunately for everyone else the Christlich Sozialdemokratische Union supermajority is busy introducing a minimum wage law. Next projects on the list are the raising of out of work benefits and reduction of in-work benefits for the low paid.

  3. “We?” Why would we need to solve it? Ahhh . . . WE created it.

    Get government out of the marketplace and the problem will take care of itself.
