But in general, you would think reducing regulation is a sensible idea. Except that they largely exist to provide job opportunities for bureaucrats. How else are third rate sociology graduates from second rate universities going to get jobs? And face it, everyone hate the nerds who make money in Silicon Valley. Everyone. Not just the people who played rugby, but also the people who were, like, so artistic and now seethe quietly every time they read about Bill Gates in the Guardian. So regulation is their revenge.
