Tens of thousands of households will be given shopping vouchers if they recycle more under a £5 million fund to promote weekly bin collections, the local government secretary has announced.

    Well I’m now just jealous on two counts:
    1) we have alternate fortnightly collections
    2) we’re being punished for being good recyclers by having our landfill bin reduced in size by half…
