Interesting point really

It was Rotherham’s Joyce Thacker, you may recall, who in 2013 decided that a long-standing pair of foster parents with an impeccable and unimpeachable record of care and probity could no longer be trusted to look after the city’s children solely on account of their UKIP membership. It was the same Joyce Thacker who was quite happy to see vulnerable children exploited, abused, violated and wounded by Pakistani sex gangs supported and encouraged by her and her colleagues’ stupidity, bigotry, venality and incompetence.

  1. And the feminists here in States were talking about the rape culture in college campus, especially in fraternities. Kinda quiet about the realone that’s in the one not in their narrative right? I haven’t hear a damn peep.

  2. Apparently, fairly low-level council workers in Rotherham knew not to take taxis at night. That they didn’t do anything about it is astonishing.

  3. I don’t understand why the council are taking all the flak and not the police. Many of the girls weren’t in care or known to social services. If my daughter were propositioned by a cab driver, I’d go straight to the police. They’ve got a lot to answer for. Presumably a report on South Yorkshire Police is in the pipeline?

  4. Ah, hear we are; booking a cab for her 14 year old daughter, asked for a non-Asian driver:

Like Interested said about even the low-level council staff knowing about the problem, BBC staff knew about this, seven years ago, even in Bristol. Did they tell us? Of course not.

  5. In a certain city not a million miles from me there is apparently an taxi company that employs only “local drivers”. I suspect that that refers to white, or at least honorary white.

  6. Hand her over to ISIS

We’ll either get pleas for mercy or they’ll cut off their own heads. I know they’ve been a bit naughty, but surely…?

Back around 2005 Radio 5 used to run discussion Forums that were heavily moderated. Occasionally someone would make an allegation about what was going on in Rotheram and other cities and if you were lucky you got to read it before it disappeared in to the ether.

Ref Sam Mason – her mistake was not asking for a women only taxi:

This victim offense poker is really difficult to keep up with….

  8. You should hear what the Pakistani community think about these people: I only get it third or fourth hand, so it’s a bit diluted by the time I hear anything.

‘If my daughter were propositioned by a cab driver, I’d go straight to the police.’

I seem to end up defending the Old Bill on here now and then (no connection other than some mates who joined from other careers),

    If your daughter was propositioned.

    Precisely.

The first thing is, you are a sentient being commenting in coherent sentences on a website loosely devoted to culture and economics.

A significant number of the girls this happened to were either in care, or living in revolving door households with uneducated mouth-breather single mothers (thanks, socialists) who were little short of alcoholic crack whores who didn’t know where there kids were, and didn’t care, and are only now pretending they do care so as they can get their fists on some of the inevitable compo to spunk up the wall on fags, booze, a giant telly and all the other underclass cliches.

The sheer numbers are a bit of a clue.

According to Alexis Jay, the conservative estimate is 1,400 kids.

    Fourteen. Hundred.

Yes, yes, lots of offenders, police should have done more, why oh why – but how can there have been 1,400 children in one small town able to be predated upon by these vile scum?

Something has gone badly wrong in the ‘parenting’ stakes.

In order for the police to do anything they need evidence.

In order to get CPS charging decisions (and I’d be interested in their role) you tend to need (not always, but effectively) statements from victims who are willing to appear in court.

I’d bet that in many cases the girls involved protected their attackers (whom they saw as boyfriends who were treating them like grown-up little queens, with drugs and booze and all the telly they could wish for etc) – they would not make statements, and /or they retracted statements, lied in statements, failed to turn up for interviews etc etc.

Meanwhile, the cops in Rotherham probably have quite a lot of crime to deal with involving victims who do want to make statements and assist them.

And where is the budget for that if you are pissing it up the wall on dealing with victims who don’t see themselves as victims and tell you to fuck off every time you try to speak to them?

Properly investigating 1,400 sex crimes would probably break the force’s budget, never mind Rotherham’s.

Sure, I absolutely bet there was some race mongering going on, and the leftist council and their media protectors (currently leading with gary Glitter, but ignoring Rotherham on the BBC news) are a disgrace, and the social change they have wrought is an abomination, and none of that is necessarily an excuse on the micro level – if a complaint is made, it should be investigated, and if there isn’t the budget it needs to be found.

But I think it helps to explain the bigger picture.

  10. Joyce Thacker…”was quite happy to see vulnerable children exploited, abused, violated and wounded by Pakistani sex gangs”.

Massively Incompetent and lacking in judgement she may have been, but “happy” about child abuse? I think not. What an unpleasant remark. I’m surprised, TW, that you give it currency.

  11. @Churm R, I think Raedwald was using ‘quite happy with’ to mean ‘content with’, which the woman surely was.

@interested. The cops can’t be excused. The prof said ‘at least’ 1400 kids & the new report says this was low ball, so maybe 2,000. This was gang rape by groups of 5 and more, so we’re looking at 10,000 perps (reduce for rapists of multiple kids, increase for accessories). All in one town. That’s a collapse of public order much bigger than the London riots (3,100 arrested). A responsible Chief Constable would have done as the Met did and asked for inter-force & Home Office support. This one did not.

  12. And the real question is how many more Rotherams are there?

It beggars belief that such profitable goings on confined themselves to a single town. That 1400 number, on a national scale could be 70,000 assuming another 50 towns which I doubt is an exaggeration.

The BBC focus on G Glitter (loathsome bastard though he be) an not on this is more than enough to justify ending the grotesque spectacle of a state broadcaster in the 21st century in a supposedly democratic country.

  13. “Properly investigating 1,400 sex crimes would probably break the force’s budget” – so break it, then. There shouldn’t be that many priorities above this in the police budget.

  14. Bloke in Costa Rica

It wouldn’t have needed investigating all 1400 cases. A robust set of, say, half a dozen prosecutions followed by Chateau d’If throw-away-the-key sentences on a few specimen scumbags would have gone a long way to deterring the rest. But even such a nugatory effort seems to have been beyond the capacity of the State. We’ve now had one gang banged up and further prosecutions are in the pipeline, so it’s clearly doable. It wasn’t lack of wherewithal but lack of will. The true scandal is the tacit consensus among the various authorities that ‘harmonious’ race relations were such an overriding priority that a white slavery ring worse than the most lurid imaginings of a 1930s potboiler was allowed to operate in a major British city in the 21st century. And what does it say about the clannish, primitive, introverted culture that has been teleported straight from the hills of Peshawar that it permitted this to occur? I can’t see any way to square this circle.

  15. So Much for Subtlety

Bloke In Italy – “The BBC focus on G Glitter (loathsome bastard though he be) an not on this is more than enough to justify ending the grotesque spectacle of a state broadcaster in the 21st century in a supposedly democratic country.”

Not to mention their focus on the Catholic Church.

  16. Mind you, I’m still a bit skeptical about the 1400 number, which was based on extrapolation. Some more actual evidence is starting to come in, and possibly the real number is even higher, as some now claim, but I’d hold fire on being too firm about 1400.

  17. “And what does it say about the clannish, primitive, introverted culture that has been teleported straight from the hills of Peshawar that it permitted this to occur?”

They are incompatible with western culture and they will continue to attack us at every opportunity. When there are more of them than there are of us, they will slaughter us like animals, raping and enslaving those few they take a fancy to. We should deport them all immediately as if cutting a cancer from our country. They have an irredeemably barbaric culture and there is no benefit for us in their presence here.

“It beggars belief that such profitable goings on confined themselves to a single town. That 1400 number, on a national scale could be 70,000 assuming another 50 towns which I doubt is an exaggeration.”

From a strictly economic point of view, I have great difficulty with figures like these.
Whenever the evils of prostitution are discussed, there always seems to be a presumption there’s an endless supply of blokes wanting to pay for sex & a limited number of females to provide the service. Thus money to be made. Maybe it’s based on moral attitudes IanB would recognise. An inability to accept women happily sell their ass-ets. It’s an utter & complete reversal of reality.
There’s an unlimited supply of willing hookers. There’s a shortage of paying customers. if there were more customers there’d be more hookers.
Rotherham’s a town with a population of around a quarter of a million. A town that size’d be unlikely to support much more than a hundred full & part time workers. Brighton’s just down the road from here, is a resort town that has lots of visitors & there’s a fair bit of money sloshing around, Has a similar population to Rotherham & I shouldn’t think I could scare up a hundred working girls if I tried.
And that hundred in Rotherham or Brighton will be what’s there anyway. Not limited by the number of girls but by the work. Soon have more girls pop out the woodwork if there was more work. And that’s the complete product range. From the youngsters to the old scrubbers. because tastes & pockets vary.. Brighton might have a dozen or two girls in their mid-twenties who’ll swear their eighteen. Or less if you make it worth their while.. But young meat’s a specialised end of the market. And believe me, if there was hot demand for very young talent it would be filled out of the local comprehensives without a single innocent young lass being groomed. Sorry. That’s reality. There’ll be enough junior sluts wanting to supplement their pocket money..Always are.
So to have worked 1400 Rotherham lassies alone, you’d have to have been tapping into some goldseam of punters no-one’s ever heard of. This is supposed to be a business. Where’s the cash flow coming from? From young Paki lads, half of whom are on the rock ‘n roll? Grooming girls would be an investment. It’s going to have cost time & money. Once you’ve got them housetrained you’ve a paying asset for at least a year or three. So why the high turnover?
And the money numbers. You do actually have to showing a profit, here. There’s bottom limits to running whores & below them you’d more profitably be stacking shelves at Tescos. It’s why, despite all the fiction, exploitation’s the exception rather than usual in the game. It’s so hard to compete with the willing freelancers. The margins are too slim.
There’s obviously something been going on in Northern towns but I find what’s being claimed unlikely. Isn’t it more believable there’s been a floating, self renewing bunch of young scrubbers put out for whatever they can screw out of the interested? And it just happens they’ve been asians. More likely because they don’t get any with their own girls. In which case it’s going to no different than what’s always gone on. Was going on when I was a lad. What Dagenham was for.

  19. @ Bloke in Italy
Vile (“contrary to Koran” is true but doesn’t go near it), makes non-Muslims thinks that we are expletive-deleted, creates racial prejudice, what can I say to my daughter.
In some countries hanging prevents re-offending

  20. @John77, but for some reason the views of these majority peaceful Muslims aren’t heard. Is it the MSM keeping up the Muslims are a race myth, or the imams keeping up the victim-hood campaign, or something else?

If the general public knew that the rest of the Pakistani community viewed them as vile, then the general public wouldn’t be so racist about immigrants.

  21. I’m sure there will be a protest march on the weekend – against ‘Islamophobia’.

Also, put your money on a comfortable Labour majority in the council in 2016. In fact, ditto if they held the election next month.

  22. @ b(n)is
You’re talking about normal male sexual needs, not the sick puppies of Rotherham (& elsewhere).
On the numbers, the 1400+ covers 16 years & the few trials we’ve seen suggest said puppies prefer kids between 12 and 15. That needs a feed of 90 new kids a year to sustain a steady-state rapist cadre of 1,800 at 5/kid. That’s under 1% of the town’s population, quite plausible.

  23. john77:“You should hear what the Pakistani community think about these people…”

It’s the very fact that there IS a ‘Pakistani community’ that helps these atrocities (and the current political shenanigans that have landed the Tower Hamlets Mayor in court) to occur, isn’t it?

  24. And despite all of this, the SNP are pressing on with their plans to appoint a state-sponsored person to oversee the welfare of *every single* child in Scotland.

Because of course Scottish clowncil officials could never behave like those in Rotherham, Newcastle, Halifax…..

  25. Just to clarify my comment: this plan isn’t one person overseeing all children, this is every single child having an individual appointed.

And people wonder why I despise the SNP so much.

  26. The Jay and Casey reports agree on an estimate of 1400 victims, and that the perpetrators were mostly “Asian Males”. They don’t speculate on the number of perpetrators, but comparing JeremyT’s estimate of 1800 with my estimate from census data of 2650 adult Pakistani-heritage males in Rotherham, I wonder whether this is plausible.

  27. @ Julia M
Er, no – I don’t think any of the DJs/popstars were part of the Pakistani community. It was the failure of the police to tackle the problem as soon as it reared its ugly head 9not helped by the fear of being accused of racial discrimination by trendy lefties).

  28. GlenDorran

Did Stalin ever manage something quite as comprehensive as that?

I can’t see how any half sane parent could want to bring up a child there?

  29. Pail B, I used the estimated 2650 adult Pakistani heritage males as a sanity check for my 1800 perps. That means the entire community is predatory, since the men’s behaviour would have been known by their wives and by their kids at school with the girls.

    “@ b(n)is

No, I’m trying to get away from the emotional stuff & attempting to work out if the accusation “Asian sex gangs have been whoring underage white girls” has any validity. And like many sex+shock horror stories – sex slaves, trafficking, take your pick – I’m having trouble in seeing how the supposed perps are making any money out of it. I’m not saying it’s not happening. it’s entirely possible the Asian Sex Gangs are running at a loss & subsidising their activities by flogging the Big Issue outside Sainsburys, Rotherham. But putting down deposits on Ferraris they’re not.

I don’t know why people say that. Muslims don’t follow the Koran they also follow the Hadiths – which by the way do show that sex with a 9 year old is fine. Mo consumated his marriage to Aisha when she was 9.
