This can only succeed if genitalia do matter

In case you hadn’t noticed, Mrs. Clinton plans on running for president with a bold and exciting platform of not having male genitalia.

The problem being that a central contention of the modern day is that what genitalia one does have is something important in certain activities (say, making babies) and not in life as a whole (say, trading bonds or becoming President). To run on that basis is therefore entirely against the modern zeitgeist.

  1. Ha! But no. The zeitgeist is rather more: “genitalia don’t matter, so we need lots of privilege thrown at the owners of certain genitalia to make up for perceived genitalia-based unfairnesses.”

To run on that basis is therefore entirely against the modern zeitgeist.

Not at all. We only say in public that the right genitalia doesn’t matter. Obviously it does. They have become more and more important over time – look at harassment laws.

In this case, Clinton lacks balls and so has been oppressed. Only those who have been oppressed can understand the suffering of other people who have been oppressed. Yada yada yada. They would argue it is not technically a question of having the right genitals so much as the lived experience of being under the cruel oppressive regime of the pallid male.

Again, this is one of those irregular verbs. Discriminating against White males is fine. Anyone else? Less so.

  3. She is a vile and frankly evil woman. That she is running at all shows the depths of the West’s malaise.

  4. “She is a vile and frankly evil woman. That she is running at all shows the depths of the West’s malaise.”

The fact she might win shows the depth of the west’s malaise…

  5. Given that Obama appears to want his legacy to be a nuclear powered Iran (and in due course nuclear armed) the colour of Hilary’s gonads is a second order question.

  6. Well, the Chosen One(tm) got elected twice by the color of his skin (and not by the content of his character). So Mrs. Clinton running on her vagina is very valid tactic.

  7. I’ve got to agree with your previous commentator. The Zeitgeist is firmly into the territory of only a member of sub group X can empathize with sub group X – ergo we have to have representation strictly matching the distribution in Society.

Hence for many Democrats, the gender of the candidate will be much more important than the putative policies

  8. “Chosen One(tm) got elected twice by the color of his skin” – there’s more to Obama than that, he’s got a certain hard to define touch.

  9. “Hence for many Democrats, the gender of the candidate will be much more important than the putative policies”

Unless they are vile apostates like Sarah Palin or Thomas Sowell.

  10. Reminds me of Richard Feynman’s response when asked to be in a book about jewish nobel laureates…
“To select for approbation the peculiar elements that come from some supposedly Jewish heredity is to open the door to all kinds of nonsense on racial theory. Such theoretical views were used by Hitler. Surely you cannot maintain on the one hand that certain valuable elements can be inherited from the “Jewish people,” and deny that other elements which other people may find annoying or worse are not inherited by these same “people.” Nor could you then deny that elements that others would consider valuable could be the main virtue of an “Aryan” inheritance. ”

If one can argue that having a female president is an inherently good thing, then it must also be possible to argue that it can be an inherently bad thing.

johnny bonk – “there’s more to Obama than that, he’s got a certain hard to define touch.”

Well he did have an utterly fawning, and dishonest, media. What else did he have? The people who voted for him most strongly were Blacks and single mothers.

magnusw – “Reminds me of Richard Feynman’s response when asked to be in a book about jewish nobel laureates”

Notice he does not say that a claim about Jewish genetic supremacy is wrong. Just that the goys might beat you up if you say so openly.

The counter to Hilary is that if she is good for women, she must be bad for men and so sensible men would not vote for her. But White males tend to be gentlemanly and so they won’t do that. Might make a lot of them vote for her even more.

  12. @smfs “Well he did have an utterly fawning, and dishonest, media. What else did he have? ” – he had to win the nomination from the witch, it was in her pocket when he arrived on the scene. He’s a skilful player of a fickle but friendly media, and he inspired the grass roots to pound the streets. He lit up his party and filled them with hope and the smell of victory, and those black voters who had always stayed at home before could have stayed at home again. He’s a good candidate, thankfully he can’t run again, it’ll be the witch this time, and she lacks that touch that he has.

Far as I can work out from the wiki he’s english, irish and half kenyan. He doesn’t like Churchill.

  13. SMFS, Feynman didn’t give much of a shit about race or religion, he went on to say that all characteristics, good and bad, are available to all mankind, jews don’t have a monopoly or, as you would have it, a supremacy, on any of them.

You can read the full letter here https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=zDwx8nViavoC&pg=PA235&lpg=PA234&ots=O0QSOj7VW7&focus=viewport&dq=richard+feynman+jewish+nobel+winners+levitan&output=html_text

“The error of pro-Semitism is not that the Jewish people or Jewish heritage is not really good, but rather the error is that intelligence, good will, and kindness is not, thank God, a monopoly of the Jewish people but a universal characteristic of mankind in general.

Therefore you see at thirteen I was not only converted to other religious views but I also stopped believing that the Jewish people are in any way “the chosen people.” “

  14. Johnny bonk. Another way to look at it is that the next president could be the person who couldn’t beat Barack Obama to the White House.

The Party was in her pocket, but the media was happy to desert one non-Republican for another non-Republican. He did not have to win over a neutral or Republican media. It was not fickle and he didn’t have to do anything. They lied and lied and lied. Right from the start. He did inspire some grass roots to pound the internet. But that goes with him being Black.

“He lit up his party and filled them with hope and the smell of victory, and those black voters who had always stayed at home before could have stayed at home again.”

That is, he won because he was Black.

“He’s a good candidate, thankfully he can’t run again, it’ll be the witch this time, and she lacks that touch that he has.”

He has always been a terrible candidate. He has a terrible record. No ideas. No policies. No clue about foreign affairs. A deep dislike of America. No achievements. An over-reliance on Affirmative Action. Questionable friends. He can’t even give a good speech. The media is simply not willing to do its job. And lie – they are happy to claim he is a great orator. But he isn’t.

magnusw – “Ever noticed how Chris Rock manages to get quoted rather often on this blog?”

    And yet, not often enough!
