Yes, but reality is a contradiction to it

Porn watchers are more likely to be feminist, a study from the University of Western Ontario has found.
The article “Is pornography really about making hate to women?” was published in The Journal of Sex Research and it found that in a sample of people who watched porn, they were more likely to be feminist than not.

The study abstract says: “According to radical feminist theory, pornography serves to further the subordination of women by training its users, males and females alike, to view women as little more than sex objects over whom men should have complete control”.
However, according to the study, people who had watched an adult film at least once in the past year had more egalatarian ideas about women in positions of power than those who hadn’t.
The study concluded that watching pornography didn’t make viewers hold more hostile attitudes towards women.
This is a complete contradiction of radical feminist ideology.

And it is of course misogynist to insist on things like facts anyway.

And it is of course misogynist to insist on things like facts anyway.

Ahh, for the good old days when Sandra Harding claimed that Sir Isaac Newton’s Principia Mathematica was a rape manual.

Western porn is painfully polite and pro-women. They are even shown enjoying it. The idea that it expresses some sort of hate of women is insane. This is just projection – insane women are projecting their hatred and fears on to some rather harmless men.

  2. @SMFS, I personally have difficulty considering that ‘facials’ are polite and pro-women.

To be honest, if they look like they’re NOT enjoying it, it turns me off. Does that make me a feminist?

  3. I get more annoyed by the use of ‘radical feminism’ to mean something almost entirely opposite to ‘Radical feminism’. Mill and co were Radical feminists: they believed in feminism as a matter of liberalism, not a conflict between men and women.

God knows why.. you couldn’t even stir your tea with a weeny Jap knob…

And your point is what? We have to flood Britain with as many Africans as possible so that those British men with a vile taste for being spanked will be out-bred and then driven into ghettos before being wiped out of existence all together?

The British tradition is for women to dominate the men. That may well be an expression of hatred for women. On the other hand it may not. Either way, the British censors, in so far as they still exist, come down like a ton of bricks on porn that involves violence, coercion and women. It is the only thing that still upsets them.

OK, I’ll give you Lady Bracknell, but from whence else does this tradition spring?

  7. “OK, I’ll give you Lady Bracknell, but from whence else does this tradition spring?”

From watching ‘Last of the Summer Wine’.

Public Schools? Jeremy Paxman begins his chapter on the British and sex with an interview with a man who had to have a bottom transplant.

He had some issues with his mother, I would guess, but is that an expression of hate against women?
