As Brucie’s finding out, the revolution eats its own children

Caitlyn Jenner was confronted by angry members of the trans community who protested outside a charity event on Thursday.
The demonstrators were angered that the 66-year-old former Olympian, who they dubbed ‘a clueless rich white woman,’ was being held up as a representative of their community.
The reality star had been speaking at a luncheon held by an LGBT charity in Chicago and attempted to engage with the protesters as she left, sparking a confrontation which was caught on camera.
Shouting slogans such as ‘You are an insult to trans people, you are an insult to women,’ protesters used a loud speaker to make their feelings known.

As to why:

The protest group, calling itself ‘I Ain’t Cait’, explained in a mission statement that Caitlyn’s wealth made her unrepresentative of the average member of the trans community.

All most amusing and we probably shouldn’t be referring to them all as a community any more, but a family. For only families can have such loud arguments over pretty much damn all.

And as to this: “You are an insult to trans people, you are an insult to women”, well, which?

  1. Maybe this new Jessica Lange impersonator career isn’t all Jenner thought it would be.

Good job he still has his Brucie bonus.

  2. What on earth would be the “average member of the trans community”?

And how would it change between mean, median and mode?

Apart from the “utterly crazy”, of course. That’s fairly consistent.

  3. Ljh – I was still a boy when “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” came out.

“Dad, can I go to see the film with the funny cartoon rabbit for my birthday?”

Biggest fucking mistake since he rented another jolly cartoon caper about doggies.

I won’t even let my kids watch Pinocchio. Just because my childhood psyche was lacerated by terrifying images of little boys turning into donkeys and – the worst part – screaming for their mammas – doesn’t mean I’m going to traumatise my own nippers.

Say what you like about CeeBeebies, it’s relentlessly upbeat and cheerful. And that’s how childhood should be.

  4. Transfat = bad.

Transgender = good, except when it doesn’t.

Transfer = obscene amounts of money in football, innit.

    Transnational = rip-off.

  5. ‘Caitlyn’s wealth made her unrepresentative of the average member of the trans community.’

So, it’s just another anti capitalist movement, dressed in the other sex’s clothes.

  6. For someone who almost exactly 2 years ago* said, “Not bad for a party that outsiders see as being solely composed of intolerant bigots.”, your comments over the past few months see regrettably to be conforming to the stereotype.

I am TG, and there is community or family norm – why more than Jeremy Corbyn represents a political norm or Piers Morgan represents a journalistic norm.

  7. Josephine,

    > I am TG, and there is community or family norm

Tim didn’t say there isn’t. Are reading comprehension skills part of your community norm?

    > For someone who almost exactly 2 years ago* said, “Not bad for a party that outsiders see as being solely composed of intolerant bigots.”, your comments over the past few months see regrettably to be conforming to the stereotype.

Let me see if I’ve got this right. A bunch of transgender people have organised a protest against another transgender person, at which they have screamed insults at her directly related to her transgenderishness. Tim has pointed this out. And therefore it is Tim who is being intolerant?

  8. Because he seems to have persistent need to comment and criticise a group that “To any reasonable approximation the percentage of trans people is zero.” Today, Oct 30, Oct 9, etc. The majority seemingly derogatory.

To repeat, intentionally or not, he is tending to reinforce the stereotype his party attracts.

  9. > And as to this: “You are an insult to trans people, you are an insult to women”, well, which?

I read this as “both”: they are accusing Jenner of being an insult to trans people as a group (both M to F as well as F to M) and of being an insult to women (which would include M to F trans people … though goodness knows whether there are any F to M trans people it might also include, perhaps early pre-op F to M trans people should have women’s rights too, even if they don’t use the label?).

The revolution is indeed eating itself.

  10. Josephine – I am prejudiced against Nikki Sinclaire, because xe looks like Lurch from the Addams Family had an experimental test tube baby with Jaws from the Bond films.

Tim’s a lot more open minded than me.

TG’s would get a lot more (male) sympathy if they were fit and also worked on their sandwich-making skills. My wife won’t make me a sandwich without taking a bite out of it to piss me off, and frankly that’s more persistently annoying than “Surprise! Penis!”.

So there’s a gap in the market, provided you don’t look like Tim Curry in fishnets.

  11. It’s about time the whole trashcan that is the Kardashian clan and its in-laws, employees and hangers on were turned into cat food.

Perhaps the worst role models for da yoof the world has ever seen IMO.

And I include the whole LGBTTXYYY bunch of them.

  12. BraveFart – how dare you.

My kitty, Princess Fantasia McFlurry, regularly turns her delicate, Grace-Kelly-like nose up at Sheba’s poshest moggy-nosh.

What makes you think she wants to nibble Kim Kardashian’s fat, syphylitic arse?

Feed them to the dogs – they’ll eat any old shite.

  13. “So there’s a gap in the market, provided you don’t look like Tim Curry in fishnets.”

I’m over 60, was commissioned in the RAF for 25 years and worked for a multinational for another 12. Im more the doted upon auntie who buys all the nieces and nephews presents. I’m in my third year of a politics degree – and am equally pissed off with the Kardashians and their ilk – and being tarred with the same brush. Site’s like Taki’s I can understand, but Tim has to be careful he doesn’t get grouped with them either.

And I only make my own sandwiches – if you can’t figure out how to do it for yourself then Darwin can claim another victim…..

  14. > he seems to have persistent need to comment and criticise a group

I think you’re thinking of PC bollocks-spouting theoretical leftwing wingnuts.

I reiterate that Tim hasn’t criticised transgender people in this post. Some transgender people criticised a transgender person.

  15. Steve,

““Dad, can I go to see the film with the funny cartoon rabbit for my birthday?”

Biggest fucking mistake since he rented another jolly cartoon caper about doggies.”

For some reason, I assumed you were referring to Watership Down, which I pestered my parents to see because of the cute bunnies on the poster and the nice Art Garfunkel song. That’ll be lovely, won’t it?

    Oh

How it got a U rating, I’ll never know. I’d rather let a little kid watch Akira.

  16. Josephine – I’m over 60, was commissioned in the RAF for 25 years and worked for a multinational for another 12.

Fair play to you for choosing an age appropriate female name rather than something like “Caitlyn”.

I’m in my third year of a politics degree

Politics degrees are a load of soft shite socialist soapy titwank. You’d be cheaper just reading The Guardian.

and am equally pissed off with the Kardashians and their ilk – and being tarred with the same brush.

Nobody deserves to be tarred with the Kardashian brush. It’d probably give you a scorching case of herpes.

Site’s like Taki’s I can understand, but Tim has to be careful he doesn’t get grouped with them either.

    Why? Takimag is entertaining.

if you can’t figure out how to do it for yourself then Darwin can claim another victim…..

Bollocks to that. I didn’t get married – twice – so I could do lady work. If it comes down to desperate measures I have a pantry full of Sheba that my snooty cat is too good to eat.

  17. The Stigler – I saw Watership Down on the telly when I was a kid and it gave me nightmares.

I’d sooner let my kids watch RoboCop. The original one, not the poncy remake. At least the violence in RoboCop was awesome, rather than horrifying and depressing.

Also, I like Clarence Boddicker’s refreshingly forthright stance on bitches.

  18. Cait ain’t a chick, ‘cos he’s still got a dick…!

Whether he’s a Trans of something (Transitioning Transsexual or pre-op transsexual), who can say???

Still a sliced-and-spliced meat and two veg can only make the simulacrum of a vagina, not a real one, so even post-Op Cait would not be a “woman” just a really committed female impersonator.

  19. Charilie Sheen’s wealth makes him unrepresentative of the hetrosexual male community. Should be be protesting outside his house?

  20. So Much For Subtlety

Josephine – “Because he seems to have persistent need to comment and criticise a group that “To any reasonable approximation the percentage of trans people is zero.” Today, Oct 30, Oct 9, etc.”

Surely that was me not TW? It sounds more like me anyway.

    “The majority seemingly derogatory.”

By their fruits ye shall know them.

“To repeat, intentionally or not, he is tending to reinforce the stereotype his party attracts.”

Nothing smashes stereotypes like trans abusing other trans for being too White and rich.

  21. So Much For Subtlety

The trans movement seems determined to show it is worse than anything that we could possibly say about it. For example:

    http://www.nationalreview.com/article/426984/chromosomes-cissexist-social-justice-warrior

    Chromosomes are so transphobic.

A transgender feminist blogger recently wrote a list of 20 things that are “cissexist” — such as thinking chromosome pairs have anything to do with biological sex and showing people pictures of your non-transgender child.

The author, James St. James, defines “cissexism” as “pretty much unchecked cis privilege or an otherwise shoddy awareness of the social monopoly on binary gender.”

The first one on his no-no list? “Believing That XX and XY Actually Mean Something.”

    Yep.

St. James explains that although the pairs can offer “a general idea of future conditions a person may or may not develop that are directly due to those chromosomal pairings,” “XY does not indicate a biological man and XX does not indicate a biological woman.”

Science. It was an interesting idea. On the whole rather useful. We shall miss it when it is banned.

  22. Wonder if they mean that no pictures of children can be shown or only pictures of children if they have identified as transgendered.
Have we really come this far that showing someone a picture of your kids is to be considered sexist/genderist or whatever tag they are using this week.

  23. I’m a goldfish.

That I was born with human DNA doesn’t change the inescapable fact that if I want to be a goldfish then I am.

You humans need to check your privilege and build me an Olympic size swimming pool all of my own.

I’m also obviously scared of cats so all talk of them is now banned lest it upset my fragile sensibilities. You koiphobic fuckers.

  24. So Much For Subtlety

Bloke not in Cymru – “Have we really come this far that showing someone a picture of your kids is to be considered sexist/genderist or whatever tag they are using this week.”

It looks like we are getting there. My view remains if they are willing to leave me alone, I am willing to leave them alone. That is not the option available though is it?

I look forward to the first academic fired for showing people pictures of the grandkids.

Dongguan John – “You koiphobic fuckers.”

Reality is so far ahead of you:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otherkin

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalking_Cat

  25. SMFS. Well that was a Wonko the Sane moment.

It doesn’t matter how mental an idea one can dream up reality will always out mental it. Should be some internet law about that.

This whole trans thing seems like it’s right out of 1984. If they can bully and brainwash enough people into believing Bruce Jenner is and always was a ‘Stunning woman’ then white is black and they have control. Terrifying.

  26. “I’m in my third year of a politics degree”

Well that explains your precious over sensitivity, Josephine.

If an insy winsy minority wishes to garner attention proportionate to its size, it should stop drawing attention to itself by behaving like weapons grade dickheads.

Doesn’t your university have a safe place you can retire to?

  27. Josephine: I am glad to live in a society where extreme genital mutilation and playacting is indulged, if you’re a pleasant person, I’ll use your choice of pronoun out of politeness but you are not a woman. You have not spent your adolescence worrying about periods, tampons and bleeding through, nor your reproductive years worrying about falling pregnant, breastfeeding nor starving to get yourfigure back, nor dealt with the loss of skin elasticity and bone thickness consequent on menopause. THAT is the female experience not your fantasy.

  28. Dongguan John,

“This whole trans thing seems like it’s right out of 1984. If they can bully and brainwash enough people into believing Bruce Jenner is and always was a ‘Stunning woman’ then white is black and they have control. Terrifying.”

No-one believes (s)he is a stunning woman. It’s just virtue signalling and bullying anyone who doesn’t say the same. That doesn’t mean that (s)he doesn’t have the right to get his cock sliced up and wear a dress and take hormones any more than Ann Widdecombe shouldn’t have the right to get a bunch of guys around for a bukkake party. I just don’t want to see either of them.
