Jihadi John ‘dead’: MI5 on alert amid fears of Isil revenge attack – as it …

Not sure worrying about revenge attacks is going to be all that fruitful.

  1. There was a fun headline at the Beeb directly under the story about the latest Muslim atrocities in Paris.

First refugee charter flight due in Glasgow next week

    Paging John Smeaton…

  2. It’s all a revenge attack for the lifting of the Siege of Vienna, battle commencing 9th September 1683. They remember their history, we have forgotten to teach ours. Orban has been called a neo-Nazi but his sealing the border is based on the memories of repeated Ottoman Caliphate’s campaigns across Hungary and its occupation 1541-1699. Bulgaria was liberated by the Russians in1878 after five centuries ie within the lifetime of my grandfather so memories there of the “blood tax” ie removal of Christian children for slavery(sex/soldier) is fresh. Isil want to be the new caliphate, our leaders do not understand the implications of that.

  3. I have been trying to work out the significance of the date and google reveals 13 November 1922 as being the date Ataturk dissolved the Caliphate. 9/11 is the anniversary of the lifting of the Siege of Vienna in 1683, the highpoint of the Islamic invasion by the Ottoman Caliphate.
    Why France?

  4. I’m dubious that this was some sort of revenge for Jihadi John. It must have been more than a day in the planning, and France didn’t really have a hand in his ‘evaporation’.

Anyway, these morons need no excuse to go out and claim their 72 virgins, while taking as many kafirs with them as they can.

Do they even use or even recognise the Gregorian calendar?

The Gregorian calendar is today’s internationally accepted civil calendar and is also known as the “Western calendar” or “Christian calendar”. It was named after the man who first introduced it in February 1582: Pope Gregory XIII.

  6. BiND: by using our own calendar, they hope to remind us of history. Using a Lunar calendar would be utterly pointless.

  7. Rob, the first comment piece on the Guardian website bout these attacks was handwringing about more islamaphobia.

  8. @TomO
RM’s just tweeted “Jersey is the breeding ground for inequality”
    ?! WTF?
Must be done in a very small kennels in a secluded valley somewhere.

Most likely on Gurn-sea. Arnold’s got the hips for it.

bloke in spain – “RM’s just tweeted “Jersey is the breeding ground for inequality” ?! WTF?”

Actually that is quite reasonable. Property in Jersey is divided into two sorts – those you can sell or, I think, rent to foreigners and those that you only can to local Jersey people.

This must involve a very large cost penalty and, I would guess, involve quite a reasonable amount of corruption in the local town hall getting houses moved from the lesser category to the better one.

  11. The explosive vests they wear are usually charged with TNT or TNT derivatives – a infidle western invention!!! foam!! gibber!
