You’re spouting bollocks love

Racial bullying in the workplace is growing

No it’s not.

The definition of what is racist bullying is expanding, a rather different thing.

And a little note for any SJWs who might stumble upon this blog by mistake. The UK today is perhaps the least racist society that any group of human beings have managed to create. I’m sorry, but really, it is. Even 10 minutes in Eastern Europe talking about gypsies would show you how different much of the world is on this.

Seriously, the UK today is about as good as anyone’s ever managed to make a place on this specific issue. Glory in it, don’t whine.

  1. The UK today is perhaps the least racist society that any group of human beings have managed to create.

    This.

Seriously, the UK today is about as good as anyone’s ever managed to make a place on this specific issue. Glory in it, don’t whine.

    And this.

London in particular is the most tolerant place on the planet, bar none.

  2. All true but you have tone realise that a veritable industry has sprung up to fund and make hay out of racism, sexism, and any other SJW issue. Frankly I think it would be cheaper and better for the country to protect the steel industry than it would to carry on protecting the SJW industry that we have. The problem is of course more people now work in the SJW industry than the steel industry. And the SJW probably have a better union than the steel workers.

  3. You’re forgetting those subtle, insidious thingamajigs.

SMFS is correct, however: it won’t survive the current generation.

  4. Well, at least she goes out of her way to absolve poor ignorant honkies, as it’s all the fault of the meejah:

“I don’t necessarily blame them for it – they read newspapers in which black people are savages, watch films where black people are baddies, or die first, or need white people to save them, music videos in which black people are just booty, and look up to politicians, judges, royals, CEOs, actors where there are few, or no, black people to counter the narrative.”

Yeah, yeah. As Chris Rock pointed out, at 11pm at the cashpoint, who is looking around nervously for ‘the media’..?

  5. I started work in the late 80s and worked with someone who would quite openly talk about “lazy niggers”. Oldish bloke, people thought he was wrong, but no-one went to the boss about it. You’d be fired for that today, or if you were lucky, formal disciplinary.

  6. So Much For Subtlety

The Stigler – “I started work in the late 80s and worked with someone who would quite openly talk about “lazy niggers”.”

You worked with Ron Atkinson? Was that at the Beeb or the Guardian?

A country where the biggest problem with racism is someone referring to people of African origin as lazy is a country that does not have a racism problem.

  7. watch films where black people are baddies

She has a point, I’m sure everyone is fed up watching Chiwetel Ejiofor play knuckle-dragging thugs and wish he’d be given a speaking role.

or need white people to save them

Somebody ought to make a film in which, say, Denzil Washington plays a pilot who saves the passengers in an aircraft which is falling to pieces and headed for the ground. They could call it Flight.

music videos in which black people are just booty

She has another point: white folk really do need to stop making these videos.

ook up to politicians, judges, royals, CEOs, actors where there are few, or no, black people to counter the narrative

That is why we so desperately need to have a black guy in the White House. It’ll never happen, though.

Seriously, what year was this article written? 1936?

  8. ‘These may be anecdotal examples, but what’s most relevant about them is that they’re not the vile racist attacks usually associated with “racial discrimination”. Often they are said or done by generally well-meaning colleagues – something judges struggle with, dismissing claims because they didn’t think the perpetrator was a “racist”. But that’s not the point. As society evolves and outright racism becomes socially unacceptable, it’s more subtle and insidious prejudice that remains. It’s more deeply ingrained, and harder to call out – and therefore, in my view, even more dangerous.’

I think if you changed a few words here this would be an almost direct lift from a Gestapo manual about ‘the insidiousness nature of Jewishness or Jew sympathy’ or indeed some description of the activities of a Witchfinder General back in the day – The author is clearly at the strong end of the derangement scale as outlined by the excellent salamander.

Ideally she would certainly be a strong candidate to be subject to a ‘Socialist tax’ with a view to encouraging her to move to countries or cities where her ‘talents’ might be better appreciated – perhaps Caracas, Pyongyang or Havana?

  9. So Much For Subtlety

Tim Newman – “She has a point, I’m sure everyone is fed up watching Chiwetel Ejiofor play knuckle-dragging thugs and wish he’d be given a speaking role.”

It is one of the odd things about Black people on TV – you can no longer be honest about the degree to which crime is driven by Blacks and Hispanics in the US. And to a lesser extent in the UK too. While all the Police Chiefs, Judges, and a good percentage of the doctors have to be Black. In other words, the media has left reality behind.

“Somebody ought to make a film in which, say, Denzil Washington plays a pilot who saves the passengers in an aircraft which is falling to pieces and headed for the ground. They could call it Flight.”

They could – except showing a Black man as a sexually promiscuous drug-using criminal might not go down so well with certain audiences. Also, of course, he was saved by the love of a good red headed heroin addict. You know, like happens in real life all the time.

It is interesting because Washington broke his long standing refusal to kiss a non-Black woman for that film. His career must be more or less over.

“She has another point: white folk really do need to stop making these videos.”

Every other week they write articles complaining that White men don’t want to watch Black women in porn. This must be a month with an r in it or something.

There has been nothing so sustained or so insulting as the way the Black music industry treats Black women. White people ain’t doing it to them. Also some of those Black men are probably on the down low (Eazy-E from NWA died of AIDS which I am sure was a coincidence) and so contemptuous of women.

“That is why we so desperately need to have a black guy in the White House. It’ll never happen, though.”

If there are few Black people in responsible jobs and a lot of them in prison, can someone remind me who is to blame for that again?

I think that’s why The Wire was so popular, the racial makeup of both the police and criminals was accurate (i.e. both groups in both categories). To be fair, The Shield didn’t shy away from this either.

  11. JuliaM,

“black people are baddies”? Has she been watching Birth of a Nation or something?

There is, I would suggest, an under-representation of black villains in cinema in the past 40 years. And not even below levels of black incarceration, but below even population demographics. Kingpin in Daredevil and Mr Big in Bond and the are about the only 2 that come to mind. There’s 1 black Bond villain in 42 films, and 2 henchmen. The recent films have had at least 4 positive black characters: Jinx, Felix Leiter, Charles Robinson and Moneypenny. I think they even lightened up Javier Bardem’s skin to play Silva.

I’ll agree with the “first person to die”/”lack of lead roles”/”never see a black man with a white woman” things.

  12. careful. Ms Copolla thinks that the english are highly xenophobic and need a good dose of cultural enrichment to sort us out. She said as much on her blog.

  13. Dammit – just remembered The Operative in Serenity. Although he was more Lawful Evil than anything else.

Chiwetel Ejiofor, and he was about as far from the stereotypical black bad guy in a film that is was possible to get.

  14. Everyone is racist, in one meaning or another of that term. Where they differ is in the extent to which they will admit it, even to themselves.

  15. Britain is indeed a racially diverse and generally accepting place these days. Is this an admission that previous generations of SJWs have had a positive impact? ‘Cause that certainly wasn’t the case in living memory.

  16. fred said:

careful. Ms Copolla thinks that the english are highly xenophobic and need a good dose of cultural enrichment to sort us out. She said as much on her blog.

This seems to be the same thinking prevalent in the politicians of Germany too. It is a naked loathing for the public based on a distorted view of that public. They are inside bubbles in which the constant chatter is that the population is racist and must be battered into accepting diversity.

  17. If the thread is on racial tolerance, or otherwise, why have we only discussed black people? Our country has considerable numbers of South Asian and East Asian and Eastern European and Arab people living here now. And don’t forget Camilla Whatsername from Kids’ Company is Iranian.

  18. Don’t worry Superhero.
South Asian, East Asian, Eastern European & Arab people dislike blacks just as much as blacks dislike them. And as much as they dislike each other.

  19. Going back to Tim’s original point, I have travelled a lot over the past 15 years or so and lived in Asia for the past 6 of them. Everywhere I have been, the baseline level of racism is round about the level of my elderly father i.e. a level that would make any Guardianista swoon.

incidentally, both Asian people and my Dad are rather nice.

Also, any fragile soul who finds the example of ‘racism’ given in the article upsetting needs to man or woman the fuck up and/or move to China.

  20. Fraggle850,

“Britain is indeed a racially diverse and generally accepting place these days. Is this an admission that previous generations of SJWs have had a positive impact? ”

First of all, Britain has never been institutionally racist. You’ve got to go back hundreds of years to find say, laws against Jews. There were decisions made about segregating black GIs, but that was down to pressure from the US government.

The rest of it is mostly fear of the unknown, stereotypes based on prior experience and so forth. We look for short cuts to decision making, and if black people seem to be all over Crimewatch, you might process that as black people being untrustworthy. Over time, people encounter more black people in real life that aren’t criminals and their perceptions change.

America has much bigger problems because they had centuries of institutionalised racism, that only ended 50 years ago. You’re far more likely to get the death penalty as a black murderer in Texas than a white one.

  21. Any actor will tell you that bad guys are the plum roles that everyone wants. Alan Rickman was once asked why the British keep getting cast as bad guys and replied, “Because we can act.” So what’s wrong, exactly, with black people playing bad guys?

Not that they always do. It must take real dedication to tunnelling your own vision to think so these days.

    SPOILER ALERT!

David Oyolewo was superb in Jack Reacher.

  22. I’m well aware of the history of my beloved country and take some pride in it. It has, on occasion, been a reasonable beacon of enlightenment. To be fair though, it wasn’t that long ago that pubs were allowed to put up signs saying ‘no blacks, no Jews, no irish’. Not an institutional thing but endemic racism which is no longer allowed in law. People campaigned for that law. Commentards hereabouts would no doubt have referred to them using the disparaging term SJW.

  23. “Over time, people encounter more black people in real life that aren’t criminals and their perceptions change.”

Not on this blog they don’t

  24. ‘no blacks, no Jews, no irish’

Any real life examples of that? A pub putting up a no Irish sign would be missing out on a considerable amount of revenue…

  25. Widershins

A bi-election was in living memory fought and won with the slogan “If you want a nigger for a neighbour, vote Labour”.
By comparison “No blacks, no Irish” is tame. Do you need that proof?

  26. ”Do you need that proof?”

Not denying racist posters were put up in boarding houses, job ads etc, just wondered if any pub had done it. Out of interest really.

  27. “A bi-election was in living memory fought and won with the slogan “If you want a nigger for a neighbour, vote Labour”.”

So? That was 50 years ago and the man was widely reviled at the time by his own party as well as his opponents.

  28. Bloke in Costa Rica

As far as I know, the “no blacks, no Irish” is apocryphal.

Casting my mind back to the 70’s, we were certainly more racist back then. It was more of the condescending variety for the most part, which I’m sure was very aggravating for those on the receiving end of it, but not exactly Jim Crow. And it wasn’t like there weren’t beloved black actors on TV etc.. Think Floella Benjamin, whom I adored when she was on Play School, or Don Warrington (where the joke was that his Philip was vastly more patrician than Rigsby and Alan). The idea we are more racist now than then can simply be dismissed without further consideration.

  29. “Do you have a nigger for your neighbour?”

I sit next to one at work and I showed him se of your comments. He thinks he’s, well, just better than you.

  30. A country where the biggest problem with racism is someone referring to people of African origin as lazy is a country that does not have a racism problem.

    1. That is racism, though.
    2. In another recent thread you told off diogenes for tarring all members of an ethnicity with the same brush.

  31. ” He thinks he’s, well, just better than you.”

They often do. No different from anyone else, are they?

And you priggish twot, if you ever got away from your cosseted, paper pushing world you’d hear Afro-Caribbeans on the subject of Africans (on Afro-Caribbeans from different islands, for that matter) Africans on Afro-Caribbeans, Either on Asians. And white Brits if they don’t know you’re listening. And sometimes when they do. A whole Asian sub-continent on the subject everybody else on that sub-continent. Least we’ve never had Untouchables. And the Chinese. Who think nobody’s quite human apart from them..
Like Tim said in the original post: “the UK today is about as good as anyone’s ever managed to make a place on this specific issue.”

  32. Of course anyone objection to certain ‘races’ is attacked by state and police.
Not to worry the white tribe is gradually becoming extinct.
    No breeding means no future.

  33. London in particular is the most tolerant place on the planet, bar none.

Perhaps, though I suspect much of New Zealand would pip it, if only because the minority races don’t dislike each other.

A key test is inter-racial marriage. A white New Zealander is only slightly more likely to marry a white person than pure chance would suggest based on population percentage.

We also don’t have that thing were you can only be one race. A substantial part of the population consider themselves to be two, and no-one thinks that at all unusual.

What racism there is, is mostly focused on the foreignness of the person (generally immigrant Chinese at the moment) and does not extend to the race per se (so not to NZ born of Chinese heritage). And that is heavily found in the older part of the population.

  34. So Much For Subtlety

ukliberty – “1. That is racism, though.”

    Obviously.

“2. In another recent thread you told off diogenes for tarring all members of an ethnicity with the same brush.”

So what? I am not describing anyone as lazy.

  35. @ironman there’s a wiki page about that smethwick election,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smethwick_in_the_1964_general_election seems to say that the Conservative party did not use that slogan, I can imagine that they would not use that slogan.

Do you have any info that it was the Conservative party that used that slogan?

I had a quick look on google, could not find anything that indicated that it was an official Conservative party motto. Was looking for a photo of a Conservative party poster, leaflet, tv / radio clip of candidate / party workers saying it etc.

I’m not saying it was not said, just that there seems no easily found record of it being ‘official’ Conservative party policy.

I would not be surprised to find that the Conservative party would refuse to have anything to do with that slogan. IIRC they sacked Enoch Powell immediately after his rivers of blood speech. Disraeli was our only ever Jewish prime minister and he was Conservative party.

  36. If there is one black man (or woman, but usually man) he has to be treated as a person – if blacks make up 10% or 20% of the local population they will be treated as a group.
When I was a kid, there was one Pole in the village (he was a graduate Chemcal Engineer after being a RAF pilot in WWII after being a pilot in the Polish Air Force after being a graduate Chemical Engineer) and one Pole working for the Forestry Commission where we went on holiday. No-one stereotyped because the only Poles to compare them with were themselves.
Get rid of all the tabloids and the Grauniad and treat people as people – is that too much to ask? Sadly, yes. But we can try.

  37. What’s wrong with being what counts as racist today? What’s the problem with preferring a particular culture over another, with liking the way of life of those like you compared with that of those not like you, with finding certain people attractive and others not based on physical characteristics, with generalising about the likelihood of certain behaviours based on cultural origin, wealth, political viewpoint, sexuality, or any of the other countless criteria we use to make these kinds of heuristic decisions on a daily basis? There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing any of these things.

  38. Back in the day I knew an Irish landlady that wouldn’t rent to Irish lads because they get drunk, fight and smash the place up. I knew a black landlord (west African) who wouldn’t rent to blacks (West Indians) because they have three day parties, don’t keep the place clean and run out on the rent. Racist bastards the pair of them.

  39. I prefer my culture over other countries. A few migrants are not a problem. Large numbers are-esp when they come from the worst societies around ie the middle-east and sub-Saharan Africa.

Statist/socialist scum trying to use “compassion” let alone “anti-racism” as an excuse to import legions of 18-30 yobs with a bad attitude about everything and a very bad attitude towards women need to be stopped in their tracks.

  40. Roue “I knew a black landlord (west African) who wouldn’t rent to blacks (West Indians)”

A woman of Ashanti ancestry told me that when she was a teenager, her father (a consultant psychiatrist) had said, finger jabbing over the breakfast table, “the day you bring a Nigerian or a Jamaican home, young lady, is the day you leave this house!”

  41. “Racist bastards the pair of them”

Rational more like, given that their businesses were small and didn’t have the resources that a government or large corporation has in terms of PR and denial of reality.

  42. “Statist/socialist scum trying to use “compassion” let alone “anti-racism” as an excuse to import legions of 18-30 yobs with a bad attitude about everything and a very bad attitude towards women need to be stopped in their tracks.”

How would anyone ever stop this from happening?

The other day in school they were teaching my child about how Syrian refugees are in an equivalent situation to the Jews in WW2 and how it is the compassionate thing to do to let them all come and live in the UK.

I didn’t really know what to say to that when it was coming from the mouth of a 6 year old girl. The counter arguments aren’t really possible, she is too young to consider them.

  43. If you value the future well-being of your little girl the 18-30 yobs better had be stopped.

Rotherham-type scenarios were largely stealth-based assisted by the so-called authorities. The latest imports to Sweden for example seem to be the kind who just reach out and take what they want by violent means. They only grooming they do would seem to be combing their hair after commiting violent rape.

  44. > I didn’t really know what to say to that when it was coming from the mouth of a 6 year old girl. The counter arguments aren’t really possible, she is too young to consider them.

You should complain to the school, then, and insist that a teacher explains the counterarguments to them. They started it.

  45. ‘A woman of Ashanti ancestry told me that when she was a teenager, her father (a consultant psychiatrist) had said, finger jabbing over the breakfast table, “the day you bring a Nigerian or a Jamaican home, young lady, is the day you leave this house!”’

What an interesting little tale, thank you for sharing. Now what exactly is the point of it?

  46. It illustrates the wider point, made by numerous commenters above, that persons from other cultural backgrounds – even highly educated persons – are often surprisingly unsqueamish about making sweeping generalisations on the basis of race and nationality.

Obviously (well, not obviously enough, obviously).

  47. Fen Tiger

So people of all races are just like us, can be racist and can make sweeping generalisations, which everybody knows.
Is that it, the great insight you felt compelled to share?

  48. Ironman

Everyone generalises. Everyone generalises on the basis of race.

Assuming you are white; if your car breaks down in a bad area of Johannesburg, would you be more likely to signal that you need help to a car containing white males or black males? Please explain your choice.

Do you never generalise in terms of race when you are selecting a person to date/have sex with/marry? Do you find all general racial tendencies in terms of physical appearance to be exactly equally attractive? I am sure that in reality you favour a particular ‘type’ of physical appearance.

I guess the point that Fen Tiger is making is that only white people get into trouble when they generalise in terms of race because white people are perceived as the oppressors. Often what people making the racist allegation seem to want is not equality but something else. Often it appears to be motivated by either self hatred or actual basic racial hatred.

  49. Mr Ecks, of course I value the well being of my daughter and of course as a female I would prefer if she didn’t live in a country with muslims as a large proportion of the population. But how do you suggest I stop immigration from Muslim cultures to the UK?

  50. “You should complain to the school, then, and insist that a teacher explains the counterarguments to them. They started it.”

I wouldn’t trust them to do so and I think nothing to gain but potentially a lot to lose by alerting the school to the reality of my unorthodox beliefs.

  51. There is nothing unorthodox about not wanting all the current wave of migrants arriving in Europe to be homed in the UK. It is the mainstream majority view. The majority just don’t shout as loud as Guardian-readers. I’d be amazed if most of the other parents didn’t agree with you.

I wouldn’t trust the teachers to do a good job either, but being told to might have some effect on their future decisions to propagandise at kids. Especially if it starts to happen a lot.

Or you could, rather than insisting the school explain the opposing point of view, demand that they apologise to the children for foisting politics on them. I bet they could do that. They’d hate it, but they could do it.

Not had a lot of this with my kids yet. But I’m sure at some point I’m going to have to have a fight with a teacher about Global Warming.

  52. Squander Two

Setting aside my distaste for much of what has been posted on this thread, I totally agree with you.
It brings to mind the “careers” visit to my school by the Army. In fact the officers gave a lecture on the purpose and aim of the nuclear deterrent. Some teachers went mad, complaining about “military propaganda”. The head pointed out these were the self same teachers whose lessons consisted of playing CND-produced videos.

  53. Tomsmith: Didn’t mean to suggest for second that you had no regard for your daughter.

What to do is the big question. Make as big a stink as possible about what is going on everywhere you can. Counter the “helpless innocents” propaganda wherever possible –eg your school–and point out that 18-30 yobs (a large proportion of which aren’t even Syrian) is what we are in danger of getting.

It is noticeable that Boy Bluepig is not trying it on with the full-on “ship ’em in regardless” attitude of Germany’s FatCow. There are limits perhaps to the arrogance of BluLabour and what they think they can get away with.

The main danger maybe that once FatCow has made them all EU “citizens” they will then try for a UK invasion. Esp if the Germans start to turn nasty –as they bloodywell should.

  54. You’ve said something very interesting to me here, Tomsmith:
“Do you find all general racial tendencies in terms of physical appearance to be exactly equally attractive?”
To answer that with my significant other, I’d have to say I see her as attractive by her own racial tendencies. She certainly wouldn’t be attractive to sections of her own countrymen. Because of those racial tendencies. But I’m a product of the UK & particularly London. Where we’re much more easygoing about differences.
Apart from the ass’ole superhero, of course..

  55. “I’d be amazed if most of the other parents didn’t agree with you.”

    Squander Two:

Some might agree, but I don’t think they would ever say so, especially not in public. Orthodoxy doesn’t have to be the majority private opinion, it just needs to be the view most heard and most agreed with opinion in the public sphere.

“Or you could, rather than insisting the school explain the opposing point of view, demand that they apologise to the children for foisting politics on them. I bet they could do that. They’d hate it, but they could do it”

They did something about Diwali today. She drew some religious symbols and now knows that Hinduism is very important; I’m not sure why when we live in a rural area without any Hindus. They didn’t do anything about All Souls or All Saints. Not that I am particularly Christian, just that it would seem more sensible given that it might actually be part of their lives.

When the entire curriulum appears to be political, I’m not sure there is a lot I can do to challenge it while appearing sane. I dread secondary school.

  56. “To answer that with my significant other, I’d have to say I see her as attractive by her own racial tendencies.”

Do you find any physical characteristcs particularly attractive or unnatractive in a potential partner? Do these tend to segregate with racial origin more or less? For example do you prefer light or dark skin, a particular hair type, a particular body shape over others?

  57. “The main danger maybe that once FatCow has made them all EU “citizens” they will then try for a UK invasion. Esp if the Germans start to turn nasty –as they bloodywell should.”

Being out of the EU is of course something I will try to make happen.

  58. “They did something about Diwali todat”

I love Diwali – it is my absolute favourite time of year. All of the Indian IT contractors at work bring in home cooking. There are pakoras, samosas and mithai everywhere. And the women all wear lovely bright saris and really dress up for it, and all of them are really cheerful.

As Roy Wood should have sung; I wish it could be Diwali every day.

  59. @tomsmith
“Do you find any physical characteristcs particularly attractive or unnatractive in a potential partner? ”
Weirdly, for Anglo-saxon male, the one’s i generally do find unattractive is Anglo-saxon females. Apart from that…(shrugs) I was knocking about with West African girl for a while. Must of been quite attractive because she played “the attractive, flighty one” in a TV series. Of course, if you stuck the same facial features on a white girl, she’d rate hideously ugly. But she’s not white, is she? Different metric. I do know you had to make her smile to find her in the dark.
Current Miss Right’s some European, about 50% Indio & the balance, who knows? Or cares. Very, very non-Home Counties.

Oh, the superhero’s just very racist. Has difficulties about people being different, so tries to pretend they’re all white middle class wearing masks. it’s very common.

  60. I wouldn’t say it is weird for white males to find exotic women attractive. But usually finding Anglo women unattractive is a generalisation based on race isn’t it? Nothing wrong in doing it that I can see, or on acting on the heuristic that you have created based on previous experience of ugly British women. Why bother spending much time trying to form non-platonic relationships with British women if you often find them unattractive after all? Would be a bad use of time and effort.

I think most of the other things that get called racism are similar. If I have had 16 bad/lazy/stealing employees that were Romanians, and none that were Poles, which nationality am I more likely to employ in future (for example)? Am I wrong to favour Polish employees in this way? Or am I merely employing a time saving heuristic and being rational?
    etc, etc

  61. > Some might agree, but I don’t think they would ever say so, especially not in public.

They wouldn’t be first to, but they’d join in.

    > Orthodoxy doesn’t have to be the majority private opinion, it just needs to be the view most heard and most agreed with opinion in the public sphere.

But, if the fact that no-one says anything else is the reason why you won’t say anything else, this is a vicious circle. Someone’s got to break it. If you’re not willing to break it — no need for a big fight; just to politely and calmly disagree — then you have no standing to complain about it.

Besides, it’s not the most heard and most agreed-with opinion; it’s the most heard and most backed-down-to-for-a-quiet-life opinion.

My Facebook feed is full of bloody SJW shite all day every day, so it would be easy to conclude that all my FB friends are SJWs. So the hugely positive response I got when I posted this was interesting.

  62. The superhero has displayed this pattern of disproportionate and abusive behaviour before. It seems to be triggered by other commenters mentioning race (doesn’t matter how innocuously): but the craziness – let’s call it what it is – bubbling under the surface comes from something else deep within that individual.

And what that something is, I neither know nor care.

  63. “So people of all races are just like us, can be racist and can make sweeping generalisations, which everybody knows.
Is that it, the great insight you felt compelled to share?”

But according to the loony left, only white people can be racists because only white people have power. TomSmith’s point is not obvious to everyone.

    See for example this:
    http://www.mediaite.com/online/college-safe-space-boos-an-asian-woman-for-declaring-black-people-can-be-racist/

Apparently black people can’t be racist.
