Ritchie must really hate himself

Some have suggested, on this blog and elsewhere, that I do not suffer fools gladly.

Yep:

The third is those who know but carry on with misrepresentations when they clearly know better.

Got to be a lot of self-loathing there.

  1. No self knowledge, therefore no self loathing? Ignorance really is bliss in some cases.

As long as he has his loyal crowd of arse-lickers, he can preen himself in the fact that it is only reality-focussed scum like us who dare to disagree with his brilliance.

  2. Orwell: “The Catholic and the Communist are alike in assuming that an opponent cannot be both honest and intelligent. Each of them tacitly claims that “the truth” has already been revealed, and that the heretic, if he is not simply a fool, is secretly aware of “the truth” and merely resists it out of selfish motives. ”

We all clearly know that Ritchie is right, we’re just selfish.

  3. I thought the second type was more him actually

‘the second is those who shout but never want a response because their minds are closed’

It would be hard to imagine anyone more close minded than Murphy!

  4. Wasn’t “doesn’t suffer fools gladly” the obituaries’ euphemism for “complete cunt”?

  5. To a Louse

O wad some Pow’r the giftie gie us
To see oursels as ithers see us!
It wad frae mony a blunder free us,
    An’ foolish notion:
What airs in dress an’ gait wad lea’e us,
    An’ ev’n devotion!

  6. Murphy must have damage to the mirror neuron brain network which controls self awareness.

It would not surprise me to know that when he looked at himself in the mirror, he saw George Clooney looking back.

  7. “It would not surprise me to know that when he looked at himself in the mirror, he saw George Clooney looking back.”

No, no, that’s just ordinary lack of self-awareness.

Ritchie goes much further: he sees Clooney on the TV and thinks he’s looking in a mirror.

  8. DtP

“You can’t be self-loathing when you have no self-awareness.”

    Yes. But Tim was J.O.K.I.N.G.
