I had a friend who bought 3 houses in Ft. McM just before the oil boom. He made a fortune renting them out to oil workers. Recently, I suppose that he was less fortunate with the cutbacks, but now I suppose he gets the insurance monies if the house gets burned down.
Not a bad ROI plus he will still have the land at the end.
It seems rather an extreme way to try to control the mosies.
Rather an extreme way to jack up oil prices – could they not have just jawboned the price higher again by announcing another OPEC meeting?
Still, I suppose all this damage will create some jobs.
And jobs are are BENEFIT, right Tim?
