I’ve changed my mind about this story

Another paper has it as “the first gay kiss on TV”. The Guardian tells us the truth:

It is a common misconception that the first lesbian kiss on British television was Anna Friel’s passionate embrace on Brookside in the early 90s.

In fact, the taboo was broken two decades earlier in the BBC drama Girl, featuring Alison Steadman, and the moment is now being made available for the public to watch for the first time in four decades.

Ah, first lesbian kiss. So, when is it on then?

  1. New series of Netflix’s lesbian rug-munching prison drama about to drop.

How times have changed. And for the better.

  2. So Much For Subtlety

So, when is it on then?

Don’t know. Don’t care. I am boycotting it in protest at Jenny Agutter’s inexplicable and extremely disappointing failure to achieve this landmark moment.

Preferably with Brit Ekland. That she didn’t may well constitute proof that if God exists He hates us.
