So that’s a PR tactic that won’t work any more then

Ads that ‘shame’ Londoners over their bodies are to be banned from the Tube and bus network, Sadiq Khan has announced.
The newly-installed mayor said there will be a block on adverts that ‘demean’ women or encourage them to conform to unrealistic shapes.
The policy means controversial marketing campaigns – like Protein World’s ‘Are you beach body ready?’ poster that provoked a huge backlash last year – will no longer be allowed.

That is, creating an ad campaign that you know will enrage the SJWs, putting a few up here and there for cheap and then watching them multiply your budget by screaming blue bloody murder about it.

Millions upon millions of advertising to be gained for 35 pence or so.

Ah well, looks like my plan to promote heterosexuality with posters of Julie Bindel is out then.

Why not make Owen Jones your poster boy instead and get the Woolmark to split the campaign cost?

  2. So Much For Subtlety

The moral outrage card will still work because the SJWs depend on it. They will be endlessly searching.

Nor does it look like the Mayor is going to set up a censorship board to examine adverts before they go up.

So you still could do it. They would just come down sooner.

  3. Muslim mayor appeases two groups of voters (Muslims and SJWs) with one stone. Although I suspect most Muslim men don’t mind looking at pictures of scantily-clad infidels – if the viewing stats for Pornhub are anything to go by.

  4. Siddique Khan wants to ban me from the tube, for setting unrealistic body image expectations.

    Cool.

  5. The Protein World ad featured a real woman, no allegations of photos hopping that I recall. How is that not realistic?

It’s not representative, it’s not average, but if that’s the standard to be applied London is about to get a lot more dull.
