Oh Aye?

A new batch of State Department emails released Tuesday showed the close and sometimes overlapping interests between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department when Hillary Clinton served as secretary of state.

The documents raised new questions about whether the charitable foundation worked to reward its donors with access and influence at the State Department, a charge that Mrs. Clinton has faced in the past and has always denied.

In one email exchange, for instance, an executive at the Clinton Foundation in 2009 sought to put a billionaire donor in touch with the United States ambassador to Lebanon because of the donor’s interests there.

In another email, the foundation appeared to push aides to Mrs. Clinton to help find a job for a foundation associate. Her aides indicated that the department was working on the request.

This is how politics is normally done even if not quite so brazenly. I do wonder though whether it’s going to stick this time around. I do see some political types (ie, those who take an interest, not necessarily those actively involved) insisting it stinks but I’ve no idea whether the general public gives a hoot or not.

  1. . . . but I’ve no idea whether the general public gives a hoot or not.

The general public that votes Democrat – they don’t. After all, who else are you going to vote for? Its ‘her turn’ after all. Go ahead and vote third party – you’ll just be voting for Trump.

The general public that votes Republican – they care all sort. Not that it makes any difference as no matter how clean Clinton’s record might be (and its dirty as hell) they’d still be calling for her to be thrown in jail just because she’s not a Republican.

The FBI gave her pass *in public* and instead of demonstrating some humility she brazenly insists that the FBI cleared her of wrongdoing – definitely not what Comey said in his press conference.

    +1 for Ironman

The polls show that Hilary Clinton has the second lowest net approval ratings of any presidential candidate since that begun. She’s only winning the race because Trump has the lowest.

  3. I see Trump as a symptom of the state of politics in the US, whereas Hillary is very much a cause

    Great thought. I’m stealing that.

And all the polls showed Brexit was kaput.

Cos all the polls are leftist propaganda shite.

  5. I’m surprised the Huma Abedin one hasn’t got more traction. She said on oath she had no access to Hillarys email and yet there’s one from Hillary’s acount that’s actually written by Abedin…

  6. The trouble is, this is how people think “politics is normally done”, so it isn’t news and doesn’t get much attention.

Yes, she’s been caught, but if everybody thought the politicians were all at it anyway, being caught isn’t much of an issue.
