Yeah, right

The simple fact is that neoliberalism has failed, most especially because it has not delivered growth or the economic stability that is its supposed purpose, and yet so far no-one on the left (or the right,m come to that) has much idea what to do about that fact, or what to replace it with.

An economic policy intent on reducing absolute poverty. Delivers the largest reduction in absolute poverty in the history of our species.

This summer has not, so far, been a happy experience for those who want to promote social justice, which is a cause that does in my opinion necessarily mean overthrowing the philosophy of neoliberalism and the Washington Consensus.

This is failure. Yeah, right.

Doesn’t he ever just fact check against reality?

I am an internationalist by nature

So why doesn’t he take account of the international results?

  1. The 20%Prof and 80% Profiterole asseverates: I am an [insert missing word here] by nature

Hands up anyone whose first thought was “internationalist”.

  2. Because he’s a national socialist. Brown people over there getting richer are of no import, lazy white folks in council houses not being able to buy the latest trainers with their welfare payments is far more of a injustice.

  3. “The simple fact is that neoliberalism has failed, most especially because it has not delivered growth or the economic stability that is its supposed purpose”

    Preposterous.

Next week he will be whining about the “unchecked consumption” from “neo-liberalism” which is “consuming the planet”.

  4. “The simple fact is that”

Any statement which begins with this is always completely wrong and/or a lie. It’s like a nervous tic betraying you.

  5. The internationalist who knows nothing, and does not care to know anything about stagflation in Japan or when I asked him, the massive reduction of poverty in China.

I think to him internationalist means doesn’t like Britain.
