I assumed that the marketing department was trying to popularise their new term for something which has existed for aeons. Recall how Apple decided to market “apps” instead of the older “programs” or “software”.
Don’t know what this athletic leisure is, either.
In the U.S., outerwear is coats, jackets, sweaters. Inner wear would just be . . . clothes?
If “underwear” gives “undies” will “inner wear” give “indies”?
