Pneumonia’s not a big deal…..

Hillary Clinton: ‘I did not disclose pneumonia diagnosis because I didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal’

Err, yes Hills, yes.

  1. First she was fine. Then it was heat exhaustion. Then it was pneumonia. She’s a liar and her team are liars and the US mainstream media is basically lying for her, but I do think the actual voters will see through this very easily.

The Republicans must be fucking nuts to put Trump up against this woman.

  2. The media is dutifully repeating the word pneumonia at every opportunity so the lies have had the desired effect. That will be the word that 90% of the public hear, and not the growing suspicion that she has Parkinson’s or some similar degenerative condition. The first one people can understand, the second is electoral death.

  3. Yes, the pneumonia story is obvious bollocks. (Why isn’t she wearing a mask? It’s highly contagious and already sweeping through her campaign, if you believe the bullshit.) And it’s a tactical error if she doesn’t ‘recover’ from it fairly quickly.

She has a lot of cover from her friends in the media – no Republican could have survived a quarter of the stuff she’s done.

  4. Interested: If the Republicans weren’t so obsessed with where people pee and who they marry, they might have been able to field a decent candidate to beat Trump in the primaries.

  5. When first asked about her health her reaction – her by now reflexive reaction – was to lie and to suggest the questioner was a conspiracy theorist nut. Ironically, in making the blatant lie her default reaction she has made herself fodder for conspiracy theorists for the rest of her career. She deserves it all. She deserves to be known as the Democrat who let the nut job Trump into the White House.

    Devil’s advocat.

If that was true, then for the Republicans wouldn’t the best time for that to emerge be roughly about 1 week before election day? This would be far too early – the Dems could still arrange a spare from here?

  7. i doubt it is pneumonia. That footage of her having some sort of seizure was convincing. I didn’t know about the concussion and blood clot on the brain thing in 2012, but it’s starting to smell mighty fishy.

Hilarious if the woman who’s repeatedly stated that Trump is unfit to be president, and strongly hinted he’s mad is prevented from taking office because she’s got a brain problem herself.

  8. She has a lot of cover from her friends in the media – no Republican could have survived a quarter of the stuff she’s done.

That’s why the Republicans have ended up with a candidate the media can’t lay a glove on. A mainstream Republican would have been toast by now, even if Hillary was caught on camera barbecuing babies.

  9. If the Republicans weren’t so obsessed with where people pee and who they marry, they might have been able to field a decent candidate to beat Trump in the primaries.

And I declare the ‘biggest fucking idiot to comment on this thread’ award won.

  10. @Rob, I don’t think anyone is doubting his ability to beat Hillary. It’s rather more about what’s going to happen afterwards…

  11. From the article:

“But she insisted she has been far more transparent than Mr Trump. “The information is out there. You can’t say the same thing about Donald Trump,” she said.”

This is pure gaslighting. The Clinton campaign have evaded questions about her health for months, and smeared anyone who dared to ask as a conspiracy nut.

  12. “The Republicans must be fucking nuts to put Trump up against this woman.”

They didn’t have much choice, what with him winning the nomination.

  13. Matthew L – “If the Republicans weren’t so obsessed with where people pee and who they marry, they might have been able to field a decent candidate to beat Trump in the primaries.”

This really is the stupidest comment of the week. The Republicans don’t care. They just want to be left alone. Trump certainly does not care. The Democrats are determined to make them care by allowing any pervert into their daughter’s change room if he so wants.

It wasn’t the trannies that destroyed Bush or Cruz. It was their weakness in the face of Democrat/Mainstream media bullying.

Ironman – “She deserves to be known as the Democrat who let the nut job Trump into the White House.”

And if SJWs like you had not screamed blue murder and destroyed Romney we would not have Trump. Your hysteria over race allowed the myth that Romney was the next Hitler to spread. Now we have someone who just does not give a damn what people like you say. Good. Trump is an idiot but he fights. He has not folded to your sort of bullying yet.

I look forward to him painting the White House in gold lame.

  14. Having watched my Mother-in-Law nearly die from Pneumonia I can safely say it’s unlikely Clinton has it.

It doesn’t really ‘come-and-go’ like that. My guess is that Clinton’s problems are brain injury related or to do with drug treatment (fading with dosage levels) masking some underlying condition.

Either way when it eventually comes out I’ll be fascinated to see the MSM’s spin on why they never reported it.

My suspicion is that they’ll play the sympathy card: ‘Poor Hilary’ What a trooper! Hiding her illness for the good of the cause.

  15. Stuck-Record – “My suspicion is that they’ll play the sympathy card: ‘Poor Hilary’ What a trooper! Hiding her illness for the good of the cause.”

I have just been listening to Christine Amanpour on CNN play the “picking on the poor woman” card. Apparently over qualified women have always had to put up with men questioning their capabilities. And best of all, she played the Roosevelt card. Some President was mocked for life because he fainted twice … in battle. And no one dared report Roosevelt was in a wheelchair but he still managed to produce the New Deal. And then there’s Kennedy.

It is rare to see the media defending lying to the public. But there you go.

  16. I’ve mentioned previously that there was more to Hillary’s health episode as Secretary of State than was being let on, but it was not clear at the time whether that was a one off or just part of a larger illness. I don’t believe that it is Parkinson’s, but clearly some illness which affects her balance (leading to her having to be held up all the time) and the seizures / moments of confusion which have been caught on camera.

Numerous diagnoses have been put forward, but from my perspective, the most appropriate of these seems to be Binswanger’s disease (subcortical leukoencephalopathy), which would account for the seizures, trouble with balance and confusion.

Which is why we’ve gone from heatstroke (on a mild Autumn day) to Pneumonia, because they would much rather portray this as a temporary illness than the serious and degenerative condition that it is.

If it gets out, all chance of gaining the presidency is lost, which is why we have nothing but lies and evasion coming from the Clinton camp.

  17. If it’s pneumonia, it’s not a good look to be photographed kissing babies.

    Unless you’re a democrat. Then it’s A OK.

  18. JG

If it gets out, all chance of gaining the presidency is lost, which is why we have nothing but lies and evasion coming from the Clinton camp.

    This is interesting.

Surely, it is already out. OK, not the exact detail, over which various are speculating, but all of this increased debate, here and elsewhere, is not exactly behind closed doors?

The direction surely is one way only. Hence, isn’t the issue for the Republicans simply one of timing, ie “not too soom”. Let all this hit peak by the end of Ocober?

The other thing is, sure there is the Clinton camp. But what about the “Democrat” camp. If they’ve got a dud running, surely they’ll want that dealt with now, and regain control of the agenda, not have it blow up just before election day?

And how come it even got to this, if this is not new? Surely the Democrat setup is more savvy than that?

    What am I missing?

  19. Surely, it is already out. OK, not the exact detail, over which various are speculating, but all of this increased debate, here and elsewhere, is not exactly behind closed doors?

It is not “out” in the sense of the Clinton campaign not being honest about their candidates health issues. Something is clearly wrong with her and it is not just a recent diagnosis of pneumonia as there are videos of her being caught having seizures and other neurological symptoms for some time.

Do Americans really want to elect a candidate who can’t even walk up a set of steps without numerous aids helping her?

Worse still, do American want to be held hostage to a woman with a degenerative disease as POTUS, who cannot manage an hour standing around in the Autumn sunshine?

I know the democrats are desperate to retain the Whitehouse, but at what cost?

  20. PF: If they’ve got a dud running, surely they’ll want that dealt with now, and regain control of the agenda, not have it blow up just before election day?

I have absolutely no special insights here but my guess, in answer to your question, is that the entire mechanism lacks the ability to manoeuvre at the speed required to do what you suggest.

  21. Worse still, do American want to be held hostage to a woman with a degenerative disease as POTUS, who cannot manage an hour standing around in the Autumn sunshine?

What makes this worse is the craven compliance of the media in firstly covering it up and refusing to investigate, but also in not properly investigating and reporting on her VP nominee who is in with a fair chance of being President next year. The media really has disgraced itself over this election.

  22. President Bartlet was not a well man and hid his MS, but he had stirring open theme music and could do a passable impersonation of JFK.

Thanks for those links, I hadn’t realised this was being so extensively discussed in the US.

What I found most revealing about your 1st youtube link was not so much that she had a “pause” or whatever, but the reaction of her aides. This was not new; it was serious; and there was a team in place, rehearsed and prepared, to try and deal with it / mitigate etc.

I’m struggling to understand how badly this has been managed by the democrats. How on earth can she be on the ticket?

  24. What I found most revealing about your 1st youtube link was not so much that she had a “pause” or whatever, but the reaction of her aides. This was not new; it was serious; and there was a team in place, rehearsed and prepared, to try and deal with it / mitigate etc.

It does go to show that she is being managed by her handlers (the large African-American chap in the earlier videos and in more recent videos a chubby lady who appears to be some kind of nurse).

The videos show a that they are on point about looking for specific issues and intervening to protect Hillary when she suffers an attack.

Looking at Sunday’s video, are here team intervening for security reasons or attempting to deliberately block the cameraman’s view of Hillary as she stumbles getting into the van?

This is not just a temporary illness, but a long-standing and deliberate attempt by Hillary’s team and her handlers to mask the extent of her illness, which is at the very least chronic and possibly degenerative.

If this is the case then the American public have a right to know.

  25. PF

It’s her turn. Anyone who suggested otherwise was told in no uncertain terms to get lost. The Dems having connived at the coverup are now unable to get rid of her unless she agrees.

  26. In practice, parties can’t just fire their nominees…otherwise the Republicans would have fired Trump a long time ago.

  27. “Do Americans really want to elect a candidate who can’t even walk up a set of steps without numerous aids helping her?”

Not necessarily “Americans” but most American Democrats surely do. For them, it’s not really about Hillary. It’s not even about America. It’s about political power (and for the ones in power, for the graft that comes along.)

And the voters? Look, American Democrats would vote for Caligula’s horse – if the horse ran as a Democrat.

  28. I wasn’t really that fussed about the issue of Hillary’s health until I saw a spritely, thin looking woman who had supposedly collapsed earlier in the day, standing on a pavement alone while suffering from pneumonia and hugging a child.

That kind of made me suspicious, even the body double conspiracy wouldn’t particularly surprise me right now.

  29. “Seems like every photo of her I’ve seen recently she is wearing sunglasses, did strike me as a little odd”

Not so odd if you watch the link provided by PF above. The ‘bug-eyed’ look is apparently very consistent with Parkinsons and the dark glasses (which I’d noticed as well) could well be an attempt to hide that symptom.

  30. There’s now another video from the same doctor mentioned above – another interesting bit of info – blue tinted glasses are often used by Parkinson’s sufferers as they can assist in stabilising motor skills. Guess what tint of glasses Hillary has been wearing……

As I said, I don’t think its Parkinson’s as the characteristics aren’t quite right, but the glasses thing would apply to multiple neurological brain issues, not just Parkinson’s.

She’s also been photographed wearing special ‘Fresnel prism’ lenses designed to treat double vision in the aftermath of a brain injury.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3452950/Hillary-wears-glasses-campaign-trail-time-late-night-event-Las-Vegas-coughing-fit-admission-worries-health.html

As with anything, it’s not just one thing that she’s lying about, it is multiple things. When you look at all of the factors (poor coordination, seizures, eye problems, tongue biopsy scar, etc.), she is clearly suffering from something more than a temporary bout of pneumonia.

  31. My daughter has had pneumonia (fairly mild, what the medics loosely term “walking pneumonia”) and when I looked panicked at this diagnosis the doc in question told me that all it meant was “lung infection” – it didn’t carry any connotation (except perhaps to the uneducated layman) as to the seriousness of the condition.

So I don’t agree that “it can’t be pneumonia” because it doesn’t look serious enough, and there isn’t any adverse inference to be drawn from her allowing herself to be in proximity with her staff or members of the public, as there is non-infectious pneumonia too.

I do agree that her instinct is almost always to lie, but this seems to be the case even where the truth is harmless, so I’m not sure you can really infer a cover-up when you actually know she’s lying.

  32. Numerous diagnoses have been put forward, but from my perspective, the most appropriate of these seems to be Binswanger’s disease

Interesting – but which would potentially be worse from a prognosis perspective?

  33. Interesting – but which would potentially be worse from a prognosis perspective?

If she’s got Binswanger’s disease then a typical expected lifespan after diagnosis is between 3-to-5 years, so depending how long she’s had it, she could be dead before the end of her first term (if elected).

  34. How long are we giving this before it blows up? The events are coming pretty frequently it seems, the pressure on campaigning is going to intensify considerably as the election day approaches, there’s the debates to get through ( I still think she’ll flunk them somehow and be backed up by the MSM), the interest in her health will mean every public appearance will be scrutinised, at some point this can’t continue surely?

I mean is there a possibility she’s no longer her own person, and is effectively being ‘run’ by her backers, working on the premise if they can drag her still breathing body over the line then they can be the power behind the throne with her as their puppet?

What happens if she scrapes a win in November, then blows up before the inauguration? It’d then be obvious she’d been lying about her health all along, would the US public stand for the VP to be sworn in based on such a blatant lie?

  35. JG

    between 3-to-5 years

You know a lot more about this than I do, obviously, but some have suggested that her condition may have been been getting worse for quite some tiime, ie a decade or so, and it is only now becoming more obvious.

No idea as to whether that’s true, and if it is whether that might point to a longer “burn” in terms of “which condition”?

  36. You know a lot more about this than I do, obviously, but some have suggested that her condition may have been been getting worse for quite some tiime, ie a decade or so, and it is only now becoming more obvious.

A lot of people have been saying her problems relate to a concussion she suffered in 2012 when she had to take a time out from her role as Secretary of State, but the reality may be that it was during that time that they discovered the problem during MRI scans.

I don’t remember anything prior to 2012, so can’t comment on her health prior to that. I certainly don’t recall it being an issue.
