The Women’s Equality Party has its conference:
And as delegates spoke, the issues around health came through loud and clear. Inequalities are stopping women from accessing the care and services they need. Our members spoke of funding cuts to essential social care services, weight discrimination in the fashion industry and draconian legislation on abortion.
We’ve, to any approximation of accuracy, got abortion on demand. And somehow that LuluLemon does not make yoga pants for hippopotami is not something I can feel any angst about. Somewhat grateful in fact.
And what inequality in health care when women live longer than men? Something that didn’t used to happen in fat given deaths in childbirth but we went off and largely solved that problem, didn’t we?
And what inequality in health care when women live longer than men?
More tax is paid by men than by women. More social spending, including health care, goes to women than to men.
These bints are even more deluded than normal.
Since women live longer, they presumably consume more social care. Assuming that social care provision has been reduced (as they implicitly claim), it would indeed affect women slightly more than men.
That would be the health service that is virtually entirely staffed by women as well then. Perhaps all those female NHS employees are suffering from ‘internalised gynophobia’ like the women in the US who voted for Trump.
“the issues around health came through loud and clear. Inequalities are stopping women from accessing the care and services they need.”
You wouldn’t fucking know it. Or maybe all those “women” you see in hospital waiting areas & doctors’ surgeries are remarkably convincing trannies..
Muh inequality. Breast cancer research receives by far the most investment of all cancers. Male-specific cancers like prostate receive only a fraction.
You know there is no actual inequality impacting women if they have to resort to making stuff up instead.
weight discrimination in the fashion industry
I wonder if anyone has asked these hefty special petals what sort of law we could pass that would make me, or any other heterosexual male, desire women who look more like them than, say, Heidi Klum?
Any suggestions?
Hippopotami??
Tut tut…
Chalk – “Hippopotami??”
Hippotapodes?
@Andrew M may be onto something.
When the Tories proposed their “massive” cuts, there was all sorts of wailing and gnashing of the teeth as this would disproportionately impact women and the poor. The reason being that these were the groups getting the most benefits at the time, so any cut would disproportionately impact them.
Could be something similar that they’re basing this off of.
weight discrimination in the fashion industry
I’m looking forward to Diane Abbott launching her new season’s swimwear collection at Top Shop.
Trots with tits indulging their paranoid delusions.
Well, at least they’ll get CBT for their PMS, so there’s that….
Andrew M,
Also the consumption of healthcare skews differently for men and women. Roughly speaking, from birth, it’s about the same for both until about 14 (or when puberty starts), then women begin to regularly use services until the menopause. For men, the utilisation drops off dramatically at about 14; but has a different pattern until about 23, at which point their consumption is (relatively) effectively nil up until about their mid- to late-forties, at which point it pretty much evens out until death.
So any change to funding is basically going to impact women more than men.
Fairly sure Tim has mentioned this a few times over the years.
From what I can gather from the warblings of demented American feminists, “access to abortion” means taxpayer funding so it is free at the point of delivery, and said taxpayers ought to get no say on this whatsoever. You don’t need to be anti-abortion to find this somewhat unhinged.
“From what I can gather from the warblings of demented American feminists, “access to abortion” means taxpayer funding so it is free at the point of delivery”
And up to and including the ‘delivery’ too.
DuckyMcDuckface,
Presumably those women using healthcare regularly until menopause are getting pregnant, having babies, and all the related needs? In which case it’s a bit unfair to say that’s just a womens’ issue: babies have fathers too.
But isn’t it generally true that women get themselves to a GP for the slightest thing, whereas men practically have to be on their deathbeds before they’ll acknowledge the need for medical assistance?
Andrew M
From one or two friends / family within GP practices, I get the impression there may also be a difference due to age?
The “slightest thing” increasingly also appears to apply to younger people generally, male or female, compared to older folks?
And up to and including the ‘delivery’ too.
That bit I’ve not got so much of a problem with, because arguments rage for years as to where the cut-off point is. But to dismiss the principle that taxpayers ought to have some say over what their money is spent on, particularly when they are forever moaning about taxpayer money being spent on things they object to, is ludicrous. And also, the deliberate lies told when they say women are being “denied access” to abortion services when what they mean is abortion services are readily available, only not provided by the state using taxpayer money. They really are a bunch of cunts.
Poking fun at the Wimmins Equality Party’s random bring-and-buy sale of policies is fun because they look like they’ve been gathered by a demented magpie.
A strong, independent demented magpie who don’t need no man.
But it’s also slightly missing the point. This yeasty gathering of angry birds isn’t about policies. It’s mostly just a shit test.
Ever wondered why bored white middle class feminists become more shrill, instead of less, as evil male-dominated patriarchal society bends itself into ever more painful contortions to give them what they say they want? And ever wondered why there’s no creature a feminist despises more than a male feminist? They’ll defend wife-beating Muslims and street thugs all day long, but Godess help you if you’re a “feminist” with a penis.
Shit test is why. Shit tests are subtle or unsubtle challenges to your masculinity that women toss out from time to time to check they’re dealing with a real man, and not some weak, supplicating drip. It’s probably a biological imperative to stop them wasting precious eggs on inferior beta male sperm.
When women hit you with a shit test, they don’t want you to fail. They want you to cheekily smack their bum and reassure them you’re man enough to be in charge.
But society has been failing the feminist shit test for forty or more years, and it’s driving these women nuts. They’re escalating in the unconscious hope a real man comes along to put them back in their box.
Steve,
Calling President Trump, calling President Trump. Only he can lead the legion of shitlords that we need.
Steve,
That seems quite rational; but surely it doesn’t apply to post-menopausal women? And from what I’ve seen, the Women’s Sameness Party are all old hags.
“They’re escalating in the unconscious hope a real man comes along to put them back in their box.”
Here’s Donald!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sneeze in threes – Yarp. Trump was supposed to have been disqualified because he’s an enthusiastic heterosexual and unrepentant skirt-chaser.
Look how that panned out.
Andrew M – I believe shit testing is the major impetus behind white middle class feminism, but it’s not the only one.
Lesbians (eg Sandi Toksvig, foundress of the WEP) don’t shit test men, they just want all the good minge for themselves. The quest to convince naive young girls that it’s daringly defiant to smash patriarchy through scissoring is why we have Womens Studies departments in universities. It’s not a coincidence nearly all academic feminists are lezzers.
Post-menopausal heterosexual women have the same basic biological imperatives as younger ladies, but can be bitter as they’re no longer objects of male desire. A lot of cat lady feminism is thus focused on the “problem” of pornography, i.e. men enjoying images of tight-waisted young things with big knockers. If they’re not happy, nobody should be.
Fat girls get into feminism for the attention and a chance to blame their low sexual status and corresponding self esteem issues on something other than the bin bags full of pizza they devour.
It’s a pot pourri of psychological projection.
Andrew M – I make a point of visiting the doctor for any ailment, I have no intention of being just another 45 year old bloke who drops dead one day. Visiting the doctor, using our fair share of services and increasing our life expectancy is the only way we can bring about equality.
Steve, men and women are different. It takes love and sex to bring them together. Lesbians are immune to all this – hence the separatist feminism they tend to go for. It’s really not all that cynical; it’s just natural for them.
As for age and attractiveness – older women tend to complain that they became invisible when they reached middle age. But no they didn’t – they just got to be treated exactly the same as quiet and timid blokes.
NDreader – older women tend to complain that they became invisible when they reached middle age. But no they didn’t – they just got to be treated exactly the same as quiet and timid blokes.
It must come as quite a shock to them after being treated like VIPs for the first 35 years or so.
I strongly doubt that the Womyn’s Equality Party wants any such thing. Why would they give up the manifold advantages over men they currently enjoy? This is just another attempt to have their cake and eat it (or, in the case of the fatties, have everyone else’s cake and eat that, too).
Trots with tits indulging their paranoid delusions.
Hardly. This is your middle-class BBC feminism; one of the movers is Sandi Toksvig ffs.
Stark testimony against women’s suffrage.
” I make a point of visiting the doctor for any ailment, I have no intention of being just another 45 year old bloke who drops dead one day. Visiting the doctor, using our fair share of services and increasing our life expectancy is the only way we can bring about equality.”
Having watched my father’s world get increasingly small due to increasing poor health, in a way that would never have happened 40 years ago because something would have killed him years ago while he still had his faculties, but the technology now exists to keep people alive, albeit in no state to enjoy life, I quite fancy dropping dead one day, at any age over about 60. Anyone who has ever been to an old people’s home should have gotten the message – our lives may be longer due to medical advances, but the extra time is hardly a life worth living for many.
Andrew M – the women can also be using contraception, perhaps get an STD or two, maybe an abortion, they will get invited to go for smear tests regularly. Perhaps problems with reproductive organs even.
Guys have it relatively easy. Back when I was relatively fit and healthy I registered with a GP surgery after getting married and used them once just before I moved away 5 years later. Down here, was probably 3 years after registration before I booked my first GP appointment. So probably 8 years with just a couple of appointments, both the same month.
Jim – yes, not a pleasant way to go. The final 10 years doing nothing but sit and wait to die. Not the way I want to go.
Father in law died last month, we had many talks over the years about the future, he didn’t want to end up in a home. Died of pulmonary embolism, so at least quick. And still cracking jokes and a Sid James laugh until the day he died.
