Last time I looked, admittedly about a decade ago, they were £1 for 30, so thruppence each. googles… yep. £1 for 32. Taking VAT off will only reduce them to 80p, which is pennies in the world scheme of things. I can’t remember how many my ex-wife used, but five a day for five days a month for 80p a month. How is that unaffordable? I’m more concerned about girls and women in developing countries where sanitary protection is completely nonexistant at any price. Bloke in Costa Rica December 15, 2016 at 2:06 am Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett has always had a somewhat arm’s length relationship with reality. She’s the one who thinks squatting should not merely be celebrated, but subsidised. She looks like a fucking weirdo as well; her eyes are too far apart and her hairstyle is about forty years out of date. More of that aposematism that shrieks, “I am batshit insane! Do not come near me!” AndrewC December 15, 2016 at 7:30 am @jgh I am afraid that the tax pendant in me has to point out that £1 including VAT would be 83.33p ex VAT. Bloke in Costa Rica December 15, 2016 at 8:57 am And the pendant in me is forced to point out that given women’s sanitary protection products are taxed at 5% under VAT notice 701/18, it would be 95.24p ex VAT.
