Authoritarian and high handed, eh?
This means that odds on he believed in God.
Not flamboyant then?
Does that mean he liked spanking?
Catholic?
Arrogant, ruthless bully.
Officiated, too.
Of the four Deans I’ve known, three were high-handed. It goes with the job – and the fact that Deans are frustrated that thry rarely become Bishops. A case in point:

Yes, had the same thought – a bit more subbing needed – although it turns it out that they do have slightly different meanings: high handedness adds the nuance of his having no regard for the feelings of others whereas authoritarianism is what it says on the tin. Thus, ascribing high handedness to this fine late fellow may be thought a little harsh.
Not even really code words.
