That worked out well then

Anthony Scaramucciwas removed as Donald Trump’s communications director on Monday, ending a tumultuous eleven days in the role.

The president made the decision following a request from John Kelly, the new White House chief of staff, who insiders said wanted to make clear he was in charge.

“A great day at the White House!” Mr Trump tweeted.

So, the bloke sold his business and got divorced to take the job then lasts 11 days.

  1. Trump needs to act decisively.

Arrest large numbers of CIA/NSA etc top brass. Sack the turd running the Russia nonsense. Veto this latest sanctions crap. Stop arsing about with Syria and North Korea.

The good stuff–pissing on the Global Warmkers and the canning the TPP and transgender crap–show his heart is in the right place but he is all over the shop jumping in and out of bed with neocon scum and attacked on all sides without hitting back.

  2. “Stop arsing about with Syria and North Korea.” I agree. Fetch his troops out of Syria and South Korea.

  3. You hire a television entertainer as Prez and you get entertainment: no surprise. Better than the warmongering, traitorous racketeer Hillary: anything else is a bonus.

  4. @ Ecks. I don’t think the President can veto the sanctions as they passed Congress with very large majorities. Stupid, but there you go.

  5. Pat–If Obama thought he could abolish the second Amendment with Executive Orders there is nothing stopping Trump from having a go at those fucking sanctions.

Also –if the CIA/NSA want to have a really effective go at Putin they should come up with a way to undermine his plans to ban VPNs on the Net in Russia. Since Net control is Trumps way of cementing his control that would be a really effective strike against him.

But since they likely scheme to de-VPN America themselves this also this is a non-starter.

“You hire a television entertainer as Prez and you get entertainment: no surprise. Better than the warmongering, traitorous racketeer Hillary: anything else is a bonus.”

This is my opinion on Trump too, with the hope he might finish his term with more bonus actions I like, than ones I don’t like.

  7. “Mooch” joined the administration for the same reason Gary Cohn did. If conflict of interest laws force one to sell assets, cap gain taxes are deferred for 10 years (on the theory that the only reason you are selling is to comply with a govt conflict of interest law and would have otherwise not sold and not incurred the liability)

  8. “I don’t think the President can veto the sanctions as they passed Congress with very large majorities. Stupid, but there you go.” I don’t see why it’s stupid.

Anyway, Trump could do what Obama would do in like circumstances: just not exert himself to put the law into effect.

  9. Ah, the penny drops. The Swamp wants him not to exert himself because that would be evidence that he’s in Putin’s pocket.

  10. It may be a ploy, Scaramucci was in part hired so that Priebus could be prised out. Once that was done (and he mouthed off so stupidly), he was no longer needed and Kelly the new CoS wanted everyone to report through him to Trump. So out he went.
