What I was actually looking for was an announcement that the Big Four are playing their part in assisting the BVI. I did not find it. I didn’t see it on the UK site either…

Maybe they should think about what may be keeping some of their colleagues awake at night and put some of those crisis management skills to better use as a result. A significant dollop of cash would also be a good indicator of intent.I’ll keep an eye on developments.

But the Eagle was right, albeit rather earlier in its analysis of foreign affairs than the great majority. When in 1914 the Austrians moved into Serbia, the Tsar ordered the Russian Army to mobilise and this triggered the Germans to do the same with all that followed. Had he simply conv.ened an international meeting of leaders to discuss the problem and perhaps resolve it it might have been much more effective.
