50 km away from that and didn’t even know it was going on. Localised or am I just unobservant?
It was Hamburg and Berlin that bore the brunt, but it didn’t go completely unnoticed in Blokeistan. So I’m a bit surprised you got none of it.
It’s only 70 km/h not 70 knots. A mere zephyr.
Agree with Dearieme: not that big of a deal at those wind speeds.
I’ve played golf in worse in Scotland. Meh.
100k/h is F11 and 119k/h is F12.
100k/h is about the limit for being able to stand.
I wouldn’t want to be out at sea or on a golf course.
It was quite windy, and I was of course exaggerating somewhat.
Over here we got sent home yesterday to work through the VPN because Nate was dumping so much water there was a danger of landslips on both routes out of the office. Even now a friend is cut off because the whole side of a mountain came down and took out the main road. Some places had 80cm of rain. Now that’s a storm.
Well, there’s been a few alerts for the south east of England recently for gusts up to X mph, and we’ve had a really quite pleasant day’s weather. 30 miles away however…
