It’s not really an issue until Myleene speaks, is it?

Myleene Klass on Thursday night said that she, too, had been propositioned by the bullish New Yorker.

Weinstein invited her for lunch in Cannes, after she had interviewed him at the film festival for CNN. Over lunch he “asked me to sign some kind of sex contract with him.”

She said: “I just thought, ‘Mate, which planet are you from?’

“Then his PA came over with a confidentiality contract. I just thought, ‘Oh my God, your poor wife.’ I don’t want to be a marriage-wrecker.”

Klass, now 39

I’ve never really know what it is that she does other than employ a good publicist.

  1. The Kate Beckingsale story is the most shocking and harrowing though.

“he tried to ply me with drink but I refused”.

He offered me a drink, I said no?

    “I escaped unscathed”

    Nothing happened?

“he opened the door in his bathrobe”

    Ok, that sounds hideous.

  2. Andrew C,

Yeah. This is all a bit “fancy a shag?” “no thanks”.

At worst he’s wronging the company he works for – he’s offering jobs based on sex rather than talent, although there’s hundreds of capable candidates for most acting jobs, so it makes little difference. And as he really is the company, and he’s been doing this since forever and making money for shareholders, they probably don’t care that much.

I suspect they are in themselves fake. Anyone setting up as a fake agent of art films and publishing said art would land themselves in jail pretty quick. I suspect the actresses know full well what’s going on and are paid up-front.

  5. At this point, I think every actress is desperately trying to think of a time their paths crossed so she can claim she’s been propositioned too. I feel sorry for those who never met him. What will people think?

Calling bollocks on this one. Total bollocks.

Putting it in writing? A fucking contract? He would have to be mad. California isn’t exactly a tough place to sue someone, is it?

So this definitely did not happen. Still, got here in the papers I suppose.

  7. Everyone was so disgusted by it…. they did nothing.

A bit like when John Cristensen was working for the Jersey government and then found about all the tax dodging companies were doing. He was so disgusted he left….. 3 years later.

  8. TBF, she is a good pianist and violinist and presents classical music programmes on Classic FM (or used to).

I am also led to understand that there are …. educational films in this manner highlighting the dangers of calling taxis when one cannot pay for them. I must say, that their great frequency, as with these casting films suggest an element of confection.

Have you noticed that all this Weinstein stuff is allowing a new wave demonising “da Jooz” ? Some of the anri-Semtism that I see in comments elsewhere are quite terrifying.

And anyway you leave Myleene alone, she’s a goddess. I buy exclusively from Littlewoods, thanks to her.

  10. Myleene is undoubtedly a publicity seeker, but she is also that extreme rarity – an attractive female amateur astronomer. She gets forgiven a lot for that in my reckoning, speaking as an unattractive male amateur astronomer (very casual subsection).

Felonia von Pantsuit knew about Bill’s indiscretions and said nothing.

She knew about Anthony Weiner’s indiscretions and said nothing.

She knew about Weinstein’s indiscretions and said nothing.

What she did say was that she is champion of women, and women who voted against her voted against their own voice.

no, rings true to me. Apparently he/miramax had been sued and come to settlements with several women. With no intention of stopping what he was doing my guess is that was obliged by the other directors to limit the damage by asking for a signed waiver. If someone signs something to say i accepted Harvey’s sexual advances willingly, then even if it looks like evidence of sex for career in writing (which is i think is your point) … it still protects against the unwilling part which will likely knock zeros off the financial cost of settlement/damages.

Which reminds me of the short fictional stint I spent as a taxi driver….

This Bird got in my taxi the other night and when we got to her house said she didn’t have any money to pay. She whipped her knickers off and spread her legs in the back of me taxi and asked “will this do”

I grimaced and replied “got anything smaller, love?”.

    Oh dear…

When I was a long distance lorry driver, I used to pick up hitch-hikers. One day a rather lithe young lady got in.

“If you take me all the way home, i’ll give you something between my legs that all lorry drivers want.”

“You’re not sitting on my Yorkie bar are you ?”

    ….
“…opened the door in his[/her] bathrobe”

Imagine the trauma milkmen, postmen, policemen, firemen, ambulancemen, doctors, hotel-staff… have been silently enduring for generations.

  16. @Andrew C and Pcar

I’m astonished that Weinstein was so bloody blatant as to have a door in his bathrobe. How lazy can a fat ugly sexual predator be?

Can’t be arsed even to get his kit off? Tsk.

  17. Mylene Klass is a seriously talented musician, as it happens. Obviously she hasn’t pursued that as a career…
