Well, yes, that is a business plan

An industry-wide business model understands that as long as female beauty has greater cultural value than female achievement, it doesn’t matter how gruesome, barbaric, cruel or painful the new treatment to improve “beauty” may be. It doesn’t matter to which part of the body it’s targeted or what it does. You just need to convince a viable market share of women that they’ll be deficient without it, and as a sense of deficiency is admitted and shared among women, it will spread like aesthetic contagion. The size of your empire surely will double in a year.

And so what do we do about it, if anything?

The obvious answer being that we make the procedures illegal on the grounds that the little dears just can’t control themselves. That clash with feminist strength we’ll just ignore, shall we?

  1. This looks like a Guardian piece in which an older woman tells younger women what (not) to do, so as to reduce the competition.

Curious how this doesn’t happen with men. We don’t read many articles by older men, telling younger ones to lay off the gym and read poetry instead.

  2. it doesn’t matter how gruesome, barbaric, cruel or painful the new treatment to improve “beauty” may be.

Because people voluntarily agree to undergo it. Can some act be cruel if the recipient willingly accept it? Can someone send a dictionary to the Guardian offices?

  3. As anyone who has undergone a wisdom tooth extraction will testify, you could quite easily describe this procedure as “barbaric, cruel, gruesome and painful”.

    BAN IT NOW!!!

The universal feminist solution for anything is to blame and punish a man for it, as they are the source of all evil. The ideal solution in this case would be to allow men to perform plastic surgery, but then punish them somehow for having done do. Thus allowing women to have their cake and eat it.

  5. So Much For Subtlety

An industry-wide business model understands that as long as female beauty has greater cultural value than female achievement,

This is not cultural. It is simply a matter of blood flowing into the male sexual organs. A pretty woman makes many a man’s penis rise. An accomplished woman does not. A lot of men are willing to transfer a lot of assets to women who make their penises engorge with blood. There is probably a more polite way of saying that but that is the bottom line.

Women could go out and earn their own living, or they could concentrate on being pretty in order to accept a few of those said penises and take their owners for as much as possible. Most, but not all, women choose the latter. Who is exploiting whom?

You just need to convince a viable market share of women that they’ll be deficient without it, and as a sense of deficiency is admitted and shared among women, it will spread like aesthetic contagion.

You do not need to convince them. They are perfectly aware of the fact that they need every advantage if they are not to be stuck with some boring accountant in Manchester and might instead land a footballer or a novelist or some guy who has been on TV.

We used to agree to hold female competition for rich men in check. The Christians insisted that women should be modest and reserved. They insisted that women should marry early and to a man near by – close physically and in social terms. Those rules have gone. Women are now competing in an open market place that is at least as big as the whole of Britain. They really do need every possible advantage they can get.

However at the same time women as a whole were probably better off with the Christian Closed Shop approach that restrained female competition. They have to compete and they will probably end up with no better men than women used to. Maybe worse.

    What a load of malarkey.

I recommend the amusement value of the following videos of a female nitwit trying out various “treatments” available in Kalifornia.

The best laugh is were the silly cow tries a “Dead Sea Salt Scrub” but finds that her excess jogging has left her nether regions covered in micro-abrasions. Which the “Dead Sea” promptly invades and stings like Hell. Leading to her pouring drinking water down her pants.

Enjoy. The amount of laughs constitutes a therapy in itself.

Against such nuclear–nay matter-antimatter –levels of stupidity the femmi-harpies will contend in vain.

  7. So this is a bona fide feminist writ in in the Guardian, telling me that we must legislate because women cannot be trusted to exercise free will.

Fine. That’s my understanding, feminist period over. From now on it’s full on rampant misogyny. Thanks for the permission Van Bad ham.
