Womens’ interests are not in fact a monolithic block

Anti-abortion Life charity will get cash from UK tampon tax
Government confirms group will receive £250,000 despite outcry from MPs and women’s groups

There are a number of women in the country who are anti-abortion. Why shouldn’t their interests be funded?

That’s the argument being made, that only “progressive” causes should receive such money, isn’t it?

As it actually happens this isn’t the point at issue anyway:

A longlist said Life would receive £250,000 for “housing, practical help, counselling, emotional support and life-skills training for young pregnant women who are homeless”. The sum was among the largest grants on the list.

One would have thought there would be a certain amount of support for this. You know, abortion is “choice” isn’t it? Aiding people in actually having a choice is a good thing then, no? Rather than choice only doing what you’re told to.

I believe California has just made it difficult if not illegal for a charity that simply trains nurses and doctors in how to reverse the morning after pill. Apparently it can be done if a woman changes her mind.

Time and time again the Left shows they are only interested in choices that further their agenda and that they agree with. Not actual real choices.

Rather than only doing what leftists tell you to.

    Fixed it for you Tim.

Yarp. One of the things that made me wise up to feminism in particular and proggyism in general was seeing their “pro-choice” bullshit in action.

It’s pretty obvious they think being a mother is the wrong choice, and they’d much rather herd a pregnant lady to an abortion mill than let a bunch of Christians give her material help.

Exactly. Most of the Left’s groupies are just tools – useful idiots.

There was a segment on BBC R4 Broadcasting House this morning about parents & their under 16 children concerns the child is being railroaded into sex-change when the child asks for help on their confused feelings.

  6. Young French guy I met this weekend has been living in Folkestone for his company for a year. He was telling me that meeting a girl (20s) who hasn’t had a child is impossible…

    Not a very progressive town.
