Not that bad an idea

Notorious mobster’s daughter hawking Godfather coffee pods

The daughter of notorious Sicilian mob boss Totò Riina has begun selling coffee pods and olive oil in his memory, just weeks after his death.

An unrepentant antithesis to ethical coffee, the “Uncle Totò” capsules are named after the ferocious Corleone-based godfather responsible for dozens of murders who once ordered a 13-year-old boy to be strangled and dissolved in acid.

One of the less dangerous ways she could trade on the family name, no?

  1. “No wonder she turned down the job of EU Commissioner.”

Yes–she obviously still has some standards.

And she is seeking a living in the free market. A cut far above EU trash.

  2. Presumably she’ll pop round all the local cafés, offering to sell them her brand of coffee, allow them to display the brand logo, etc. What better way to intimidate other organised crime gangs than to have your Mafia logo on all the town’s coffee shops?

  3. So Much For Subtlety

The Unused Testicle – “No wonder she turned down the job of EU Commissioner.”

They made her an offer in gender-inclusive legalese in three of the EU’s working languages that she could not understand.

I don’t see what the fuss is about. Mussolini’s home town is full of stuff trading on his good name. Much worse, Georgia – the tragic one, not the one some blind guy sang about – does a good trade in Stalin memorabilia and tourist tat.
