Being French the bastard can’t be hit with a T&S. Although his EU-sucking makes him just as much of a traitor to France. Tell him that any attempted food blockade on the UK will be treated as an act of terroristic war . In which war the assassination of would-be terror agents are standing orders. Edward Lud March 9, 2018 at 11:18 am The idea of France becoming Kent’s car park is quite funny. Alas, it seems improbable. I mean, doesn’t the rest of the world have border controls (of varying degrees of rigour)? Hector Drummond, Vile Novelist March 9, 2018 at 11:26 am This fucker says “There’s such a long history between the UK and EU.” No there isn’t. The EU has only existed for 25 years. Think he means Europe. Roué le Jour March 9, 2018 at 11:46 am Isn’t this just another variant on the wife beater’s refrain? “Look what you made us do.” Andrew M March 9, 2018 at 12:57 pm Mars called for continued regulatory alignment and said the cost of divergence in environment and food processing standards could be huge What’s the problem here? If you’re producing something for export, you do it to the standards of the importing nation. If you’re producing for domestic consumption, you match the domestic standards. The Japanese have managed to do this with cars for quite some time now. Martin March 9, 2018 at 12:59 pm Mr Ecks, your post would be much more readable if you used English. Mr Ecks March 9, 2018 at 1:43 pm You would fare much better Martin if you could understand English. The Meissen Bison March 9, 2018 at 1:52 pm Calais already became ten times worse in 1558. Oh wait, he’s talking about commercial imports – someone should remind him that there are a hundred other countries that would love to take up any slack left by a drop in EU imports. And they can all deliver by sea and air. Nautical Nick March 10, 2018 at 12:25 pm Agammamon, Niall Ferguson suggests that one of the factors which led to the historic advancement of Europe, compared to China China, say, was the antagonism between nation states. Which would suggest EU harmonisation could be a mistake. ISTM it all depends on an optimum size. Gamecock March 12, 2018 at 2:22 pm What’s this ??? http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/03/12/lauren-southern-banned-uk-terror/ ‘The government has banned Canadian right-wing activist and journalist Lauren Southern from Britain, being held at Calais just days after Austrian activist Martin Sellner and author Brittany Pettibone were refused entry at Heathrow.’ ‘The pair were then placed in detention, where they waited to be deported along with other foreign nationals after being served Home Office papers explaining Generation Identity “is viewed in the UK as a right wing organisation”’ The right is now banned in Engeland?
