The Fair Tax Mark certification scheme was launched in February 2014 to allow businesses that are paying tax in a responsible way to demonstrate this commitment to their customers, contractors and associates. Already more than 1,500 shops and offices ranging from AMT coffee bars, to Richer Sounds and the Co-op Group are Fair Tax Mark accredited,
Outlets, not organisations…….
Even outlets is stretching it, the map shows any address used as an office by an of the companies.
He’s got the co-op signed up, yet still only covers 1,500 premises?
These outfits are paying more tax than they have to? Name and shame the lot.
Demonstrate commitment to their customers, contractors and associates? That’s precisely who they are not demonstrating commitment to. They are showing commitment to the government..
Do the shareholders bother to question the accreditation that suggests they are losing out to HMRC?
I am prepared to fund a £25 ticket for the Fair Tax Conference in London for anyone here who wants to waste a day at it provided they undertake to heckle and hassle (publicly where possible) Murphy at every opportunity.
snake oil fraudsters.
Double-plus good use of language there, Richie.
P.S. – I just tried to post a comment at Tim’s new gaff, but I couldn’t be arsed to invent and then remember a 12-character mixed-whatsit password.
FTM itself is misleading its customers. It’s republished a Daily Mirror story that refers to FTM as “official”. Of course FTM is not official in any recognised meaning of the word.
If it isn’t honest about itself, how can we know it’s being honest about companies it gives the FTM to?
The only thing we know for sure is those companies have paid FTM.
Bit of a con really.
Why am I mentally reading “FTM” and “FGM”?
“as” not “and”
@RichardT
You don’t need to use a 12 character complex password. Just type in what you want & tick the “accept a weak password” box.
It just worked for me with my <12 charcter pw.
BraveFart: Excellent idea. I’ll stump up for another to attend.
