The City great and good are to review the workings of the Big 4 accountants.
..
Let’s just look at who is missing.First, an employee or union representative.
Second, a small business representative.
Third, an obvious pension representative in the sense of actually being an end user investor rather than being an intermediate manager.
Fourth, little sign of any attempt to reflect our diverse society.
And fifth, any accounting academic.
I wonder who he could have in mind?
And fifth, any accounting academic.
I like the use of the word ‘any’ there: it suggests that there’s no need to be particularly choosy thus comfortably lowering the bar for a know-nothing rubicund fatty.
Doesn’t he usually style himself as a (OK, the only possible) “representative of civil society”?
“Accounting academic” is an oxymoron.
The learned Prof at Islington Technical College is merely a moron.
And when did Murphy stop listing things as twelvethly, thirteenthly, twentyfifthly etc as he used to do so amusingly?
Richard really does seem to go round claiming he is lots of things he clearly isn’t:
– academic
– economist
– tax expert
– (tech) entrepreneur
Given what he’s said over the last decade, even accountant is being a stretch.
How many people are needed to approve of what he has for dinner?
But he is not an accounting professor so that rules him out.
But he sails close to the wind on libel – suggesting the individuals are merely puppets there for a whitewash.
“Doesn’t he usually style himself as a (OK, the only possible) “representative of civil society”?”
Give his general rudeness that would be a stretch.
“And when did Murphy stop listing things as twelvethly, thirteenthly, twentyfifthly etc as he used to do so amusingly?”
On his hundred and eleventy-first birthday.
His inability to hide his dislike of the big 4 means he’s always sailing close to libel, funnily he can’t see that his obvious bias should disqualify him for such a job
Unless the committee feel a need for a representative from the fuckwit community, I doubt they’ll be giving The Egregious Tuber™ a call.
Same old Ritchie, always pitching for a job.
Looks like his EU grant runs out in November 2019.

How about a representative from the sweaty spud community?
But why the freak would a committee operating in the real world want the opinion of an academic, no matter how gifted?

Prem Sikka is leading a review for Labour. Ritchie will be fuming!
fwiw
MPs get it right on Carillion ?
