Well they have lots of experience of failed IR projects in the public sector. So I suppose they could offer lots of useful advice. About blame-shifting at least.
The staff will be told to paint everything white, prop tables at 45 deg to walls, get under them with plenty of water supplies and wait until the all clear is sounded when the fall out has dispersed
Which City watchdog? It’s not like there’s a single regulator for retail banking.
“You can bet that at the head of the worst traffic jam, there’ll be a cop directing traffic.” – GB
Think of all those sociology majors wasting their talents working at Starbucks when they could be productively employed solving all our problems.
That’s all they need, wasting time answering pointless questions. Those working on the problem know how urgent it is.
When I worked at the sharp end I would respond to the irritating question “how long it will take” by pointing out it would be at least 15 minutes longer than if I’d been allowed to change continue uninterrupted.
Gamecock : are you suggesting that when a massive jam occurs that the cops should stand by and watch?
When a death occurs you can be fairly confident that a doctor was involved with the person soon before they died too. That’s because doctors attend dying people, not because they are the cause.
Everyone in the industry knows who’s to blame for this one and it’s not TSB (although they are responsible) – they had a large consultancy (not naming any names for libel reasons) running a large systems upgrade and it went catastrophically wrong with no rollback plan.

Yes. I’m saying that cops take a traffic jam and make it a massive traffic jam.
