I am not defending Venezuela

I never have

I am just saying it’s not in trouble because it printed money – the issue is much bigger

The issue is dollarisation and falling out with the source of the dollars more than anything else

Dollarisation happened after Chavez and Maduro destroyed confidence in the bolivar. Because they used MMT, obviously enough. Thus, without an economic time machine, dollarisation cannot be the cause of the problems with the bolivar, can it?

I have made clear that is not the reason for my comment and I am not engaging with far right trolling on this issue

I will be deleting further comments of similar type to this for that reason’

I found my ‘friend of Murphy’ has adopted a similar outlook to this – apparently anyone asking questions is now ‘far right’?

  2. Perhaps he should emigrate and become venezuelas minister of finance. His “cures” will undoubtedly transform venezuela into a paradise.

  3. as the cure for inflation is MOAR TAX – what’s the cure for inflation racing towards 1,000,000 percent ? I’m sure the starving venezualens would welcome a tax rate of 500,000 percent.

Deranged. A simple and polite question receives a hysterical and libellous smear of being “far right”.

  5. Rob

Any critic has now moved from ‘neoliberal’ to ‘Far right’ He needs sectioning for the protection of society as a whole

  6. no wonder he can’t get back in with Corbyn. The obvious answer would be “the jews” or some mealy mouthed ” secret international financial cabal”
