But Joe and Hunter should be investigated

Donald Trump is to face a formal impeachment inquiry as Democrats claimed he violated the US Constitution.

Mr Trump has accused Democrats of another political “witch hunt”.

So what happens next?

What are the allegations against Donald Trump?
A whistleblower in the US intelligence community has made an internal complaint.

He – it is a man – alleges that Mr Trump, in a July 25 phone call, urged the leader of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, and his son Hunter Biden who sat on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.

Why have the Democrats launched impeachment proceedings?
The Democrats claim Mr Trump’s alleged actions show he violated the Constitution by inviting help from a foreign power in a domestic election.

The thing being that Hunter’s up to his neck in it as is his father. They should be investigated.

Still, partisan politics, eh?

  1. Yeah, nothing at all dodgy about the son of a US politician being on the board of a Ukrainian gas company. I’m sure he’s got decades of experience in it…

There’s a large section of the Dems that seem hell-bent on giving Trump a 2nd term. To add to their own infighting and being unable to select a grown-up in their primaries they are ignoring the main lesson from the Clinton impeachment.

Far from being a success for the Republicans it became a bit of a disaster as they were seen as needlessly harassing the President even by their own supporters. In the end they had to settle for a slap on the wrist with a wet lettuce to bring the proceedings an end as the polls were turning against them.

  3. Impeachment is double dumb. Esp as their Demorat main man Biden is far more heavily involved in it than Trump is. Senile Joe tried to cover for juniors dirty deeds. This is another investigation that will blow up in the Democrats foolish faces.

Keep up the good work leftist turds.

  4. BiND,

It’s law vs politics. It’s holding a client to a contract by the letter rather than looking after a client.

The political class are obsessed with minor legal infractions, even a whiff of minor legal infractions. They’re essentially bureaucrats seeing a breaking of a rule. The people mostly don’t care. It’s not a big priority. Personally, if Boris cancels HS2 and spends a million of what’s left on hookers and blow, I’m still far better off.

  5. What’s really staggering is that its not the Ukraine dirt that will be bad for Biden, cos it will be, it’s that the Chinese dirt is worse…

  6. BoM4 – are you suggesting the druggy fuckup son of Joe Biden might not have been qualified for a $50,000 a month job with a Ukrainian energy company?

  7. As Biden hasn’t been selected as the candidate to run against Trump how can this be interfering in an election?
I assume they are hoping that enough dirt will stick to Biden as well as Trump that they can get rid of both of them. Don’t get the impression that viva sections of his party l are happy about Biden (rich old straight white man) being the candidate even though he’s more popular with the electorate than the screeching harpies

  8. If this current crop of clowns doesn’t make you believe in small government nothing will. I’m not keen on Trump and I didn’t vote for him (or for Clinton), but it’s become shocking that he’s what stands between us and the likes of Warren, Sanders, Pelosi, etc.

  9. All to the good as far as I am concerned. The case against Trump is wafer-thin, but its prosecution will make Biden unelectable, as he clearly hammered the rules to benefit his idiot son.

So Trump will face off against another unelectable harridan. Great.

I notice that a number of the smarter Democrats* were against this.

*including Tulsi Gabbard, who would totally get it.

Gabard’s interesting character. She’s obviously rattled the DNC because they appear to be doing their best to freeze her out. She came across well on both the Joe Rogan and Dave Rubin shows. I know that’s not the hardest test but you don’t get many chances to listen to politicians explain their thought process in great detail rather than spout talking points.

Andrew Yang would at least make the GE fun if they selected him.

  11. Let’s see…

For $15 minimum wage, Medicare for all, higher corporate taxes, open borders, and gun grabbing.

Oh yeah, Tulsi’s sane and just what your average Republican wants…

Don’t know what you’re smoking Pcar, I certainly don’t approve of it, and I want some.

I didn’t say I agree with Gabbard – although I doubt she believes in those policies. As Gabbard rattling woke DNC, Google a Trump/Gabbard vs Socialist Woke/Woker Dem would be interesting tactic

After all, Trump used to be a Dem and over here Soubry, Wollaston etc used to be a Tory – Tino (from Brino)

  13. The policy positions I mentioned were taken directly from her website.

The fact that she isn’t as batshit crazy as the rest doesn’t change the fact that she’s batshit crazy.

  14. And Pence will quietly bring in more voters than Gabbard could.

The sort of voter who would vote Gabbard would not vote for Trump. Period.
