Umm, yes?

And a third woman, 27 years younger than Sondland, said she met him to discuss job opportunities and instead he pushed himself against her and kissed her, so that she was obliged to shove him away, after which he stopped assisting her career.

Sure, the question could have been posed more politely but no quid no quo worries whom?

Or, to put this another way, why would a younger woman expect an older man to assist her career?

  1. “why would a younger woman expect an older man to assist her career?” yes bit of a poser that one. In some cases in big organisations with quotas to fill because it will help their career, but leg up for leg over is more common.

  2. Geez, the knives are out for this guy.

His testimony (“OK, I have no evidence whatsoever but Orange Man Bad”) in the impeachment circus was procured by Democratic politicians organising boycotts and protests against his hotel business.

All very publicly, mind you. It’s reaching the point in the US where you’re basically not going to be allowed to run a business or have a livelihood if the Left decides you’re a political enemy. Ask James Damore.

Now he’s being accused of heterosexuality. I don’t bloody think progressivism allows it.

    Two facts:

    1) Sondland didn’t deliver what the Anti-Trumpers wanted (and expected).
    2) Sondland is no longer of any use to the Anti-Trumpers.

All else flows from these two facts.

Can that be right? Dennis, Tiresome Denizen of the Land of the Free is always so disparaging about us Wogs that one assumes Ohio (sounds a bit woggish, that, tbh) must be an earthly paradise where all human endeavour will flourish.

Unwind a bit. Blood pressure and all that.

While Steve correctly points out that some ‘Mercian lefties have attempted to damage certain businesses and businessmen they deem to be conservative, what Steve fails to note (as it doesn’t support his point) is that they have been singularly unsuccessful. Chick Fil A, Hobby Lobby and Trump’s businesses are prime examples.

James Damone was a salaried employee of a corporation, and was therefore neither a businessman nor a business owner. He was terminated by his employer for conduct in violation of corporate standards. Do a think his manifesto was conduct worthy of termination? No. Do I think Google is run by corporate fascists? Yes. But the Damore situation doesn’t support Steve’s contention; he’s using an apple to try to prove oranges.

  7. If you all remember, there was an concerted effort by “activists” to boycott all of Trump’s hotel properties after his election. Heard much about that in the last two or so years? Nope.

Politically motivated boycotts don’t work. Most people don’t care about them, and most “activists” don’t have the necessary attention span or seriousness of purpose. Period.

Yep, most 2nd order activists know little about the cause and don’t really care because its all about “me, Me, ME”.

  9. I keep seeing tweets from Remoaners calling for a boycott of ‘Spoons and Dyson and all their followers jumping on the bandwaggon ….. It’s not really happening though
