Ahh, business as usual

The president of the European Commission has admitted that she made mistakes in allowing lucrative contracts to be improperly handed out to consultants during her time as Germany’s defence minister.

Glad to see that standards are being maintained. The entire continent is back in the hands of someone who can’t count – or if they can, makes sure that the numbers prefer her friends.

European politics, business as usual.

“Trans girls condemn discrimination as families of three cisgender girls claim unfairness in federal case”

    Or as we might say

    Newmania’s mates 0 Reality 10.

On a more serious note how can you plan and make policies wen you’re so far out in such a short time? That isn’t even close and its not like climate predictions which at lease have the cover of forecasting 20 or 30 years ahead.

  4. Newmania – a Brexit brown nose in No 11
Pretty fuckin racist, even for you Newms. It’s ok to be brown.

Quite so Steve, I thank you for triggering at that . Allow me to clarify. I mean a man whose only qualification is having nose stuck between Boris Johns billowing flabby buttocks nuzzling at the shit therein and ready to sell out his fellow less fortunate immigrants in the manner of ‘bow and agree’- and the rest of us , including you
Actually it will be more of a Johnson Cummings spit roast

  5. “Allow me to clarify. I mean a man whose only qualification is having nose stuck between Boris Johns billowing flabby buttocks nuzzling at the shit therein”.

Next you’ll be telling us that some of your best friends perform analingus on prime ministers.

  6. Allow me to clarify. I mean a man whose

Nice backpedal, shitlord. Now we know why you wear a pickelhaube and lederhosen and fulminate about European supremacy while frotting yourself into a fury with a bratwurst.

  7. “The president of the European Commission has admitted that she made mistakes…”

No, that can’t be right. Surely she ‘admitted’ “mistakes were made…” And “lessons have been learned…”

No self respecting euro bureaucrat would ever admit anything in the first person. Passive voice rules.

  8. “Surely its time to kick back “: don’t you introduce those nasty American habits here, my lad. Bloody Nazis the lot of ’em.

    P.S. It’s “it’s” actually.

  9. “The president of the European Commission has admitted that she made mistakes…”

The mistake being to get caught.

  10. Newmie – what’s with the WHITE elephant? There’s no place for supremacist pachyderms or subsequent sly innuendos about what might be done with a prehensile proboscis, thank you.

Isn’t it a surprise that Newminor needed to dip into Goethe’s Werther to decide life wasn’t worth living?

Steve – would a professor of arseology¹ (or comparative arseology for Newms) have a ‘chair’ or would a loo-seat answer?

  11. Führer Von der Leyen provides another reason why we should not waste time negotiating a deal with these criminals

Who needs an EU trade deal anyway?

To do any kind of deal you need at least two willing parties. The EU has shown that it is not a willing party. For months EU officials have told us that there isn’t enough time to finish the negotiations by December; now they have said that they can’t even start until March. They are obviously not very interested, so why should the UK waste any more time on them?

Instead, the UK should paraphrase and follow the advice of Stephen Stills: ‘If you can’t do a trade deal with the countries you want, do a trade deal with the countries you can’. Right now many countries are eager to do a deal with us, including some of the UK’s biggest trading partners. So if I were in charge of the UK’s trade negotiations, I would not start with the EU; I would start with Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, the US and maybe even Turkey. Bilateral agreements are always quicker than multilateral deals primarily because there are fewer voices demanding protection for their pet industries.

Trade agreements are as much about protecting domestic industries as they are about facilitating trade. For this reason, we do not need aggressively to pursue an FTA with the EU. After 45 years of free trade within the EU, through the process of comparative advantage, most production has already moved to the most efficient EU provider. So within the EU, there just aren’t that many industries where the UK really competes with other EU countries
