How very cool David

Mr Lammy, who was himself commissioned to review racial inequalities in the UK by Theresa May in 2017, said: “The time for reviews is over. The time for action is now.”

What, exactly, is it that should be done?

  1. I’d no idea Treason had roped him in for a race review. There really is no end to her malignant uselessness.

I still have no idea why she joined the Tories in the first place.

I’m prepared to give most people the time of day and listen to their opinions, it helps strengthen my own and you never know, they may have a few good ideas, but when he popped up in my podcast feed I deleted it. I’ve heard enough of his race and Brexit baiting to last me a lifetime. I can’t think of a single that would be put right by listening to him.

  3. “What, exactly, is it that should be done?”

What David Lammy said should be done, of course. Holy writ is holy writ after all.

  4. The Pedant-General

And guess what, the pusillanimous interview on the Today programme failed completely to pull him up on the most outrageous stuff: he complained that it is THE CONSERVATIVES who are trying to start a culture war. Then complained that HE was being gaslit.

    He can fuck off.

  5. For a racist white supremacist nation, Britain does have a lot of non-whites on the public payroll lecturing the majority on their failings.

  6. MC: “I still have no idea why she joined the Tories in the first place.”

For the same reason ichneumon wasps lay their eggs inside paralysed spiders, I suspect.

  7. Action: Arrest and lock up all BLM protesters. Anti social congregating and genuflecting in public. Guilty as charged.

  8. A paralysed spider. Yep.

You make it sound as thought the ‘Conservative’ party are doing things they don’t want to. They are fully on board with the left’s agenda, they just think it should be carried out more slowly.

  9. Mr Lammy, who was himself commissioned to review racial inequalities in the UK by Theresa May in 2017

    Truly incredible.

  10. On my MSN page that appears when I bring up my browser I caught sight of a headline that read something like, “Whatever happened to the good old race relations we once had in this country?” Where to start.

When the media, politicians, slebs and everyone else tells anyone who isn’t a straight white male that their every slight problem and disappointment in their life is the fault of said straight white males, then it might have the effect of stirring up hatred against straight white males.

Given that the people who suffer most from this racist attitude are young white males, I’m surprised, (and a little disappointed), that Saturday’s little affair wasn’t bigger or bloodier.

  11. Jonathan,

“You make it sound as thought the ‘Conservative’ party are doing things they don’t want to. They are fully on board with the left’s agenda, they just think it should be carried out more slowly.”

The main difference (having met and socialised with some party people) is that they’re a bit more fiscally responsible than Labour. They aren’t going to do runaway debt. But “austerity” is only because there’s no money. When people say things like “evil Tories cutting libraries”, really, the Tories aren’t. They would rather keep them open, despite 3/4s of them having more staff than customers and in many places, book rentals cost more than the value of the book.

  12. What does Lammy think should be done?

Well, he thinks that the media should report that he often makes comments that are sympathetic to black people and their perceived interests. That, in turn, helps ensure that his constituents continue to vote for him.

  13. I wonder how much of this BLM stuff is abetted by China stirring

BiG, what’s that saying about not interrupting your enemies?

  14. A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is to be killed by a police officer.

BLM is a false premise. All lives matter. But don’t let them hear you say that! They protect their brand.

‘What, exactly, is it that should be done?’

It has been done. This is the gratitude we get.

  15. So Much For Subtlety

Wherever there is a clear division, eventually some politician will move to exploit it. That is why you cannot have a multicultural or multiracial democracy.

The most you can hope for is something like Singapore. Maybe Malaysia.

So the only way forward is obvious – an Internal Security Act. Intern these arseholes before they do any more damage. Make sure the dominant majority remains a majority.

  16. I recently read about a lady in America, fed up of the BLM demonstrations, putting Trump supporting MAGA stickers on rioters cars and watching them being trashed by other rioters. While not advocating criminal damage, think it could be amusing to see the results of ‘White Lives Matter’ stickers on the cars of BLM supporting rioters.

  17. “ I wonder how much of this BLM stuff is abetted by China stirring.”

It was an often unremarked fact around the last US Presidential election that the Russian interference with fake political advertising was actually more focused on Black Lives Matter than it was on Trump. This inconvenient truth seems to get forgotten.

Now I don’t think BLM is some kind of intentional Russian stooge, or even mostly supported by Russia. But it’s a pretty smart target on their part to sow dissent in this way and I’m sure it hasn’t stopped.

  18. The “conversation” that is so desperately needed is your surrender terms.

    You know, like Brexit negotiations.

  19. Bloke in North Dorset,

“I’m prepared to give most people the time of day and listen to their opinions…”

I’m not any more. The other side isn’t interested in intellectual debate, they just want to push me down and themselves up. It’s always the same outcome: I’m the devil incarnate just for being myself, they are holy saints just for being themselves.

I almost miss the trannies. They at least usually had interesting philosophical arguments (if a M-to-F falls in the forest, does xe make a male sound or a female sound?). The BLM crowd are just about who/whom.

  20. neither am I.
I was once an easy going tolerant car salesman. Now according to mrs toni I am an angry racist.
That is all this BLM bullshXT will achieve – make old stale white males who were once easy going very angry

  21. Toni, have thought this for some years now. Most of us are easy going, don’t get too agitated about stuff, tolerant of minorities, live and let live and are positive about the future.

But with each passing day I am less and less tolerant of these c*nts and would now like to see something painful happen to them if they don’t fuck off somewhere else.

  22. Time for the Purge lads.

    BLM/Common Purpose/Antifa–all terrorist or banned orgs a s a p.

    Then purge,purge,purge.

Schools, Unis, Courts, politics –local/national, police, military hierarchy, close the BBC–etc, etc.

  23. @Bloke in Germany,
“I wonder how much of this BLM stuff is abetted by China stirring.” – none, I suppose they are just watching, amazed and amused. They, the Chinese, would not make this up.

  24. @ Adolff
We can usually *afford* to be tolerant – it’s more than a dozen years since I last had to run out to defend a son against yobs as most people behave decently even to people they don’t know. Last-but-one (or -two) time #2 son was being protected by a school not-friend of #1 son who was totally amazed that this boy would have done the decent thing by protecting a smaller child from thugs.
So we need to be very very selective about whom we condemn

  25. Well I actually read the many recommendations of the Lammy report, and it was a complete waste of time. Lots of actions for the prison service to implement, such as reporting the number of BAME incarcerated which they already do, whilst totally overlooking the obvious fact that while the number of whites in Young offender institutions has fallen from 20,000 to 5,000 over 20 years, the number of blacks has risen from 3,000 to 5,000 (i.e. 50% of inmates from only 3% of the population).

Lammy’s report doesn’t mention gangs or drug dealing, just assumes that everyone is as likely to run into trouble with the law.

  26. Does Lammy want to reform the UK’s appalling drug laws, which indirectly do make criminals of a lot of black and brown people compared to the white dudes who might disproportionately be higher earners with their regulated and taxed english sparkling wines, rieslings and chablis?
Does he want to decriminalise prostitutes sharing premises, or tell the Sturge to repeal MUP or devolve minimum wage rates to local authorities.
I mean if black and pak people really do have lower incomes on average than everyone else, then it would be a good idea for them to have a little more economic freedom and stop being made into criminals for overwhelmingly self-regarding behaviours.
As far as I can tell Lammy isn’t actually interested in more opportunities.

  27. As a wise man once said back in the 1960s…

“We must be mad, literally mad, as a nation to be permitting the annual inflow of some 50,000 dependents, who are for the most part the material of the future growth of the immigrant descended population. It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre. So insane are we that we actually permit unmarried persons to immigrate for the purpose of founding a family with spouses and fiancées whom they have never seen.”

Meanwhile, demographer, Professor David Coleman of Oxford University, argues that on current trends white people will be a minority in the UK by 2066.

Hahaha, the revolution has reached the “devouring its children” phase:

“ Now hundreds have signed the petition laying into The Guardian’s “hypocrisy”.

One wrote: “The Guardian, established by a cotton plantation owner using slave labour and being on the side of the Confederates against the abolition of Slavery is still here. Funny old world.”

Another said: “The Guardian may never have been established without financial benefits arising from slavery.”

One added: “All people who have written for the Guardian in the past and right now ought to be ashamed at their support of slavery.””
