We’ve got your problem right here

Plans to allow people to change their legal gender and “self-identify” as a different sex

They are, of course, self-identifying as a different gender, not a different sex. The two, sex and gender, not being the same thing in our modern definitions.

  1. Can’t get past paywall. Is this more marx-shite from Blojo?

Fucking freqs can already drag up. But if the cunt is trying to enshrine subjectivist socialist cockrot into law–then he is increasingly a malign presence who needs to go.

BREXIT IS THE ONLY THING HE HASN’T SO FAR FUCKED. And that is as much the EU’s doing as his. Their endless egotism having made it impossible to sell out without doing so obviously.

  2. ooh they missed a trick.
    “Boris Johnson snips plan”
    or
    “Boris Johnson Junks plan”…

  3. So Much For Subtlety

They can self-identify as oak trees if they like. Some idiots in Wales have been self-identifying as Druids for over 100 years and I am pretty sure some do.

What they mean is that they intend to force us to recognise their mental illness. That is another thing altogether.

  4. 14 year old girl, who is obviously seriously under-weight, goes into Doctors surgery and says ‘I feel grossly obese and need help to lose weight’.
Doctor says, ‘my professional opinion is that you need some psychiatric counselling’.

14 year old girl goes into Doctors surgery and says ‘I’m a boy in a girls body’.
Doctor says, ‘My professional opinion is that we start you on hormone therapy then begin cutting bits off your body’.

I’ve only briefly skimmed, and others may differ (and it’s only a leak anyway), but it looks more as if coming down on the side of women versus trans, more in line with public opinion. For example:

    Under the leaked plans:
    ● Proposals for people to self-identify their gender will be abandoned and those wanting to change their birth certificate will still need medical approval. At present that means two doctors have to sign off a gender change
    ● There will be a crackdown on “quack” doctors to ensure that only reputable medics can give approvals
    ● Safeguards will be put in place to protect “safe spaces” for women, reaffirming provisions in the Equalities Act
    ● New national guidelines on lavatory provision are likely to be introduced, replacing the “free-for-all” in which councils set their own rules, which has seen a rise in gender-neutral lavatories
    ● A ban on “gay-cure” therapies that are run by some church groups and therapists will be announced on the same day.

Truss has joined forces with Johnson’s team to ensure the document is more in line with public opinion. Polls suggest voters are sympathetic to trans rights but do not support transgender women with male anatomy accessing female-only facilities such as prisons and changing rooms.

But the new proposals are likely to be supported by feminist groups, who argue that trans rights infringe women’s rights.

Tim, apols if “overquoting” the source?

  6. As I have said previously, there is no reason at all for the state to concern itself with gender. A person’s birth certificate, medical records, passport etc should record their sex. Male/man; female/woman.
If they wish to claim a gender which differs from their sex, that is entirely up to them. They can change gender every hour if they so wish. No one else need be concerned.

  7. “The two, sex and gender, not being the same thing in our modern definitions.”

Which is why the idea of pregnant women doing a “gender reveal” is self-evidently bollocks.

  8. MC–I hope that is so. Can’t see the article. Well then all Bloj needs is to stop teaching the marxperv-plan to 6 yr olds and that might be more good news.

    Christ knows we need some.

  9. Only nouns have gender: there can be no transgender.

Animals and plants have sex… if you see what I mean.

Le vagin and le penis (in French) are both masculine, but refer to different sexes. Voilà!

  10. “those wanting to change their birth certificate will still need medical approval”
…and a time machine. A birth certificate is a record of an event that occured. It is not a certificate of the state of your mind today, but a record of an event that happened in the immutable past.

  11. Except for a data error, no birth certificate should ever be changed for any reason. It is a birth certificate, not a “how-do-you-feel-now” certificate.
