Dunno really

It’s a kind of meta-conspiracy theory that happily pulls in other conspiracy theories – 5G phone masts spreading coronavirus, Bill Gates supposedly putting microchips in Coronavirus vaccines, Hilary Clinton carrying out child sacrifices – and makes them its own. Remember the recent claims that the online furniture shop Wayfair was trafficking stolen children? QAnon.

The FBI considers “conspiracy-driven domestic extremists” a growing threat

Sounds as all embracing as critical theory to me. And the FBI used to at least try to crack down on Marxists…..

Hilary Clinton carrying out child sacrifices

Don’t be daft. Her jaw hinges down and she eats them, but she doesn’t *sacrifice* them.

This is a bit rich coming from people who have spent the last four years insisting that the John Birch society was right and the US President was a secret Moscow asset. Or have insisted that this magically poisonous miasma that no one can see called Structural Racism has penetrated every corner of Western society.

    Fuck them all.

And incidentally, the FBI did conspire to remove the President.

  2. One of my friends has been watching with horror as a former school friend has plummeted down the rabbit hole of

    Autogynephilic fetishism?

    online radicalisation

    Oh.

Six months ago, the friend started posting on Facebook about her doubts over the official COVID death tolls.

    Imagine not believing officials tho.

This weekend she was out at the QAnon protests with her husband and kids. […] a far-right conspiracy theory endorsed by clueless celebrities, Donald Trump and other Republican politicians

YOUR bonkers shapeshifting space lizard fanfic is a “far-right conspiracy theory”.

MY belief that Western civilisation is a multigenerational Patriarchal conspiracy to oppress wymmins, gays and also blacks for some reason, and that Donald Trump is a KGB secret agent who wants to buy the NHS as soon as Brexit leads to mass starvation and super-gonorrea is doubleplus goodthink.

President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media.

Tbf to the Qtards, this wouldn’t even be the strangest thing to happen this month. Conspiracy theories are often boring, but the phenomenology of this stuff is quite interesting.

So, why would people get the idea that they’re ruled by an incestuous class of evil, lying, control freak perverts? And how would we know if we weren’t?

There are obvious parallels with UK anti-trans activism, which I’ve seen described as “QAnon for British women”: it too rejects science

MY FEMININE PENIS IS SCIENCE, BIGOTS

  3. “Six months ago, the friend started posting on Facebook about her doubts over the official COVID death tolls.”

And, as we now know, the friend was right, the official covid death toll was significantly inflated, by using a ridiculous definition of a “covid death”.

  4. Dennis, The Peak of Mental Health

Man in dress pretending to be a woman worries about other people’s mental health.

    Oh, the ironing.

  5. We’ve known that for ages, RichardT. Since about early April, when it emerged that the government was following the Italian example of recording as a covid death anyone who had covid, regardless of whether they had anything else. In other words, the failure to distinguish deaths ‘with’ from deaths ‘of’.

  6. “And, as we now know, the friend was right, the official covid death toll was significantly inflated, by using a ridiculous definition of a “covid death”.”

And not only that, all covid hospital admissions were inflated by a) people who were admitted for something else, but then caught it in hospital, and b) people who had covid at some point and then recovered, but then were hospitalised for something else. All went down as ‘covid admissions’.

  7. So Much For Subtlety

The truth is that reality has become so weird that no conspiracy theory can keep up.

For instance, if someone had told me four years ago that the Democrats were going to claim that powerful Jewish men really were defiling Aryan women, and that Jewish billionaires would use their money to fund Communists and other Left wing extremists in order to bring down Western civilisation I would have told them they were insane.

Not to mention the claim that a wealthy Jewish man with alleged ties to Israeli intelligence would be flying the Great and Good of America (Marvin Minksy? Really? Why?) out to his private pedophile island with a lot of mid-teen girls?

But here we have MeToo which almost entirely focused on Jews like Harvey Weinstein and Matt Lauer. George Soros. And how does Epstein manage to commit suicide? Really? How is that possible? Was Jack Ruby busy that day?

Frankly nothing QAnon says is likely to be weirder than the reality. Even describing it sounds like the sort of thing that should get you sectioned.

  8. And what about the fact that we have people strolling around wearing masks to avoid a “killer” disease? If only we were back in the times when Russia tried to assassinate someone by smearing an unknown poison randomly on door handles in Salisbury. That seems like normality nowadays

  9. Dennis: Oppressor, Warmonger, Capitalist and Consumer of Petroleum Products

At its heart, QAnon is a wide-ranging, unfounded conspiracy theory that says that President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media.

At its heart, the Russia Hoax is a wide-ranging, unfounded conspiracy theory that says that President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media with help from the Russian government.

  10. Does anyone actually believe the qanon stuff? I got the feeling that much of it was an absurdist 4chan type thing with the joke being on the authorities for taking it seriously?

  11. Dennis, Mental Health Amateur

Does anyone actually believe the qanon stuff? I got the feeling that much of it was an absurdist 4chan type thing with the joke being on the authorities for taking it seriously?

That’s about where I am on it. Maybe 5% certified loons and 95% normals having fun goofing on humorless.

  12. Surreptitious Evil

But I thought the MSM talking point was that Drumpf wasn’t saying anything (i.e. neither alienating a bunch of people who will vote for him or give them a razor wire wrapped baseball bat to beat him with) about QAnon? Or have I missed one of those femtosecond reversals in reality, again 🙁

  13. Despite BiS claims that ineptitude covers it–I still don’t think so. Far too much power grab shite going on–NZ camps , mask mania world-wide, vax obsession ditto.

    It isn’t all just bungling.

Also –rumour via Hector Drummond on twitter is that Blojob to step down next year. He is a busted flush but COULD recover if he wasn’t a hollow man filled with leftist shite.

  14. ‘The FBI considers “conspiracy-driven domestic extremists” a growing threat’

“Conspiracy-driven domestic extremists” is beyond the FBI’s remit. They should STFU.

  15. To paraphrase John Wyndham: ” The word ‘conspiracy’ exists because they do.”

…President Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media.

As the President himself said: ” Is that supposed to be a bad thing?”

  16. Dennis: Oppressor, Warmonger, Capitalist and Consumer of Petroleum Products

“Conspiracy-driven domestic extremists” is beyond the FBI’s remit. They should STFU.

Actually, “conspiracy-driven domestic extremists” pretty much describes the FBI.

  17. Far too much power grab shite going on–NZ camps

    Camps? Really?

Those with Covid in NZ are being kept almost exclusively in commercial hotels. That’s why they keep escaping — precisely because they are not in camps.

I’m not in favour of the attempt to keep NZ Covid free, but the temporary restrictions on people is really the least concern I have. Two weeks if they haven’t got it. Until they don’t have it if they have caught it. We’d do the same for a whole host of other diseases — we wouldn’t let Ebola patients just wander around either.

If they are going to try to keep it out, then they might as well do it properly. Otherwise you get the situation in Melbourne, where you have both restrictions on liberty and also the spread of the disease.

It’s simply not a “camps” situation.

  18. “It’s a kind of meta-conspiracy theory that happily pulls in other conspiracy theories …”

    Well, at least they’re happy.
