Careful Honey because they sure can

‘They couldn’t arrest us all’: civil rights veteran Rutha Mae Harris on MLK, protest and prison

It’s true that they didn’t. Which rather shows that the US was different. Because plenty of places just did go and arrest everyone. Stalin for example….

  1. Reminds me of the heroic Tutsi rebels who started up a guerrilla war to liberate Rwanda from horrid Hutu rule. Alas the Hutu were so unsophisticated that when the Tutsi began to murder them, they started to murder the local Tutsi. Of course the real base of the war was in Uganda, so when these wicked Hutus began to behave like the guerrillas, Paul Kagame and his Rwandan Patriotic Front staged their invasion. I understand Kagame still rules.

  2. Engaging in your civil right to protest because

‘In the early 1960s, she faced armed police as she sang at demonstrations across the US.’

I have faced armed police in train stations. Grocery stores. This supposed to be scary?

When did she change her name? SUBS !!!

I’m not mocking Harris. She sounds like a good person who made good contributions. I mock Aamna Mohdin, Guardian Writer.

  3. Engaging in your civil right to protest because you have been denied your civil rights. Only in Western Civilization does this happen.
