Not required on manoeuvres

Where does poor Prince Harry fit into Meghan’s masterplan?
I fear the Duke of Sussex is out of his depth in California as his wife pursues an unknown agenda of her own

He’s done his bit. Provided the title, with the ongoing link in Archie.

This is giggle worthy though:

A source told Vanity Fair this week: “I think if Meghan and Harry ever gave up their titles she would seriously consider running for president.”

Not even the most deluded corners of Hollywood would swallow that idea.

  1. The reactions would certainly be hilarious. A descendent of wicked George the third subverting the US constitution. The beastly Brits trying to re-enslave the noble Yanks.

It’d be far better than putrid Putins Russian plot in 2016.

  2. I’m just an unemployed mom who’s married to an immigrant who sought asylum from surveillance and head-of-state control.

  3. Poor Harry.

He has that permanent “How the fuck did this happen?” Look on his face.

And “I reckon that if the US Army lent me an Apache and pilot… rat-a-tat-tat, it’d all look like an accident…”

Oh please let her try! It would be glorious beyond words to watch.

Or maybe this gruesome skank thinks that in five years she will divorce the inbred ginger fuckwit and get Windsor castle and Balmoral. She might be that deluded?

  5. Even though she only hit around C-list or D-list status, that’s still high achievement. Like < 0.01% of actresses get the sort of part that she did in Suits. And getting there would have taken some skill: perseverance, networking, manipulation, presentation, guile, low cunning etc. She's going to have really grown as a person to get there.

By contrast the monarchy are a bit like children. You turn up, shake some hands of people who aren't going to criticise you, you get given jobs, or given money to do things, you balls up and nothing happens to your job. You still live very comfortably whatever happens. The bloke was a junior military guy and nuts deep in lingerie models. Most men have to sell their soul to earn the money to get to do that, or work 60 hour weeks, risk death from trading narcotics, murder people, work really hard at football. All things that build character in some way.

Wonder what median pay for an actress is. It won’t be high, though my google-fu has failed me in tracking down reliable-looking figures. People who use “C-list” as an insult tend to forget just how far up the ladder C-list is.

Not sure that becoming a C-list sleb is a brilliant indicator of what we might regard as the positive aspects of personal growth, but unless you achieved that position either in a hereditary way or via “Reality TV” then you’ll definitely have had to take a journey to get there and “outperformed” thousands of other people chasing the same dream, so you’ll have something about you. To be fair, Harry can’t have absolutely nothing about him either – creating the Invictus Games clearly wasn’t a one-man job and no doubt he wouldn’t have been able to without his royal connections, but he does seem to have done more than stick his name to a cause that would have happened anyway without him.

  7. MBE,

I don’t want to knock the event, but he pretty much announced that and got £2m from a royal charity and a government immediately, and as he grabs media, he then got corporate sponsorship. And it’s all based on some US games.

How many 30 year old former air force captains get $2m+ for their good idea? They’d probably get £10k from Jaguar Land Rover and have to build it over time.

  8. “Not even the most deluded corners of Hollywood would swallow that idea”: dunno – they’ve swallowed the idea that a demented fellow is just the chap for Prez.
