Ooooh! Cool!

Carbon pricing should be a key feature of this transition,

Says the IMF. Says Snippa:

I agree

Only taken him two decades but he is now onboard with the carbon tax.

Only taken him two decades but he is now onboard with the carbon tax.

Not only does he believe in it, he invented it!

  2. I repeat, when it comes to climate and CO2, due diligence is required BEFORE you fuck with a working system.

  3. Well that’s settled then. If Murphy’s in favour of a Carbon Tax we can dispense with it as an idea with merit with no further argument. Thank heavens for small mercies.

  4. November 2019 Spud claimed “We can only solve the emissions crisis by stopping emissions. And taxing them won’t do that,..”
May 2019 he claimed “Carbon taxes have to raise revenue or they will not work..”
The second claim is incredibly disturbing from a former Professor of Practice. The theory behind CO2 taxes is that you could burn the revenue, the outcome of modified behaviour would still be achieved. Ignorant twat.
There must be money in attaching to the IMF line now.

  5. I think a few people are missing some of the sarcasm in the original post. Snippa will never, ever, agree that a carbon tax is the solution. Because that would stop his fantasies of Fat Controller position of the Green New Deal. And yet he’s just agreed with the IMF as they say the carbon tax is needed…..

Perhaps Murphy has noticed that everywhere a carbon tax has been implemented the Fat Controllers of Stupid-Shit are still running amok. So he’s stopped believing your fantasy that carbon taxes somehow prevent Stupid-Shit, and is now on board with the Stupid-Shit-enabling civilisation tax boondoggle.

  7. Of course he likes it, it’s a tax. Not ‘pricing’, a tax. And why can’t anybody differentiate Carbon from CO2?

  8. And why can’t anybody differentiate Carbon from CO2?

Because while the thing they fear is carbon dioxide, that comes from the thing they want to stop – use of fossil hydrocarbons. So carbon gets the rap.
