Let us select our lines here

because we have no budget to take this further right now

…..

We suggest, however, that the implications of this research finding are significant. Firstly, and to state the obvious, we accept that more research is required. We think that important.

Eg, give us more money.

  1. I wonder if he’s considered applying for this now vacant position on breakfast TV. He’d certainly be adequately qualified. There’s not many more unpleasant cvnts than Piers Morgan but he leads the field.

  2. His research is absolute rubbish. The methodology, inasmuch as there’s any, amounts to “Here’s a thought experiment. If the thought experiment is true, then that’s REALLY BAD. Oh my God, we must stop the REALLY BAD THING from happening.”

Except he doesn’t demonstrate that the thought experiment is true. He even admits that it’s just a thought experiment. What we would really like to know is whether it actually is true, to any significant degree. But he can’t actually do that, so he just assumes it is.

The rest of the CRAFIC research papers are every bit as stupid. Who’d have thought the accounting faculty that made Prem Sikka a professor would produce research that’s complete shite?

  3. It seems as if he has invented yet another concept that already exists – the zombie company https://notayesmanseconomics.wordpress.com/2019/04/26/deutsche-bank-and-rbs-continue-to-headline-the-zombie-bank-era/

There is even a Wikipedia article on the subject.

The blundering and incompetent Spud writes

The paper looks at the phenomena that we describe as ‘hollowed out firms’. These are companies where it would seem that financial engineering has a higher priority than actually generating profits for payment to shareholders

Note the illiterate use of “phenomena”. His blog ought to be about production stats for bogroll. That is something on which he is a leading authority

  4. Sam.. Look at the prices of model trains, especially the rare/handcrafted models…

Running mini-trains is not an inexpensive hobby…

  5. Unrelated but why does the idiot keep making medical posts and then getting ripped apart for his ignorance? His nonsense on Flu today is laughable. Why does he feel the need to post on matters where he has zero knowledge? Extremely odd behaviour.

I wonder if he makes them run on time…?

He’d have nothing to write about otherwise.

  8. “Name a subject where Captain Potato has any knowledge worth sharing”

How to lose friends and influence people (to hate you).
