So we get to bang up Maduro do we?

When false economics doctrine costs lives it is time for it to be replaced, and for those who peddle it to be called out for their crimes. And yes, I know there is no crime that they can be found guilty of, but that does not stop there being a crime. The crime of indifference to the death of others arising as a consequence of your actions is one by which politicians should be judged.

Even, if anyone ever enacted the P³’s policies and they didn’t – as they won’t – work we get to bang him up?

Almost worth the pain of their being enacted really – to the extent that Maduro hasn’t already.

  1. Extending the principle to other areas of life, including, say, epidemics, only people of no opinion would go unpunished. Indecision for ever!

  2. Spud is wailing about the poor starving people of Yemen.

Spud – who clearly is not starving – wants people to donate to him when that money could be going to help the starving people of Yemen.

  3. This is just utilitarianism gone mad. There could be no end to the demands on your money, to make good every perceived (by Spud, natch) wrong in the world.

    And Andrew C nails it.

  4. “And yes, I know there is no crime that they can be found guilty of, but that does not stop there being a crime.”

Reminds me of Ritchie’s former star commenter Lavrentiy Beria’s famous line ‘Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime’

  5. I know there is no crime that they can be found guilty of, but that does not stop there being a crime.

Everything I don’t like is a crime. Everyone I hate is Hitler.

  6. The aid industry claims we are feeding 24 million people in Yemen. Oddly enough, they prefer to get their food as cash that they can spend in the local market. So of course do the various ‘governments’ who rule them.

At least Trump made the effort to cut off the cash to the gangsters who oppose us. But this would have cut into the profits of the non-profits.

So we’re doomed to perpetually finance yet another forever war, while the great and the good screech in horror to make sure we recover none of the wasted money by arms sales to the combatants. Meanwhile the blame for everything is ours for not persuading the local savages to agree to any idiotic political ‘solution’ that the woke dream up.

  7. and for those who peddle it to be called out for their crimes.

When do we prosecute the people peddling an economics doctrine which destroys entire economies with hyper inflation?

  8. And yes, I know there is no crime that they can be found guilty of, but that does not stop there being a crime.

The perfect example of those who see the Law as a weapon to wield against their enemies (pretty much everyone else) rather than a common framework that allows most people to live their lives peacefully and safely.

The world is complicated. Information is incomplete. Almost any act or lack of act will hurt someone.

So we must always punish brutally those in government because even if we don’t know who they have wronged nor how, we know they have.

    So off with their heads!!

Seems a tad shallow but if you insist we must also loo the heads of those who caused harm by not stepping forward and fixing the problem.

Pretty soon, the overpopulation problem will be dolved

  10. Almost every commentator on the board nails it – but kudos to MC. A close personal relative who I have had to block on social media due to his contention that any opponent of the appalling ‘BLM’ movement is a ‘racist’ is a close compadre and co-author of Murphy’s in the past and everyone he doesn’t like is a ‘Fascist’ or ‘Nazi’.

A particularly odious post by someone without a scintilla of self-awareness. No doubt he would be up in arms if he were to be (justifiably) held to account both for supporting left wing economics generally and for being a key cheerleader of lockdown, now firmly established as the greatest crime in UK history.

  11. any opponent of the appalling ‘BLM’ movement is a ‘racist’ … and everyone he doesn’t like is a ‘Fascist’ or ‘Nazi’.

My typical response of “I can’t be a fascist or a nazi – I’ve never been a socialist, not even as a know-nothing teenager” usually shuts those cunts up.
