Correlation is such a difficult thing

Well, for Amanduh at least:

Last week was Black Maternal Health Week, which reproductive justice activists started in 2018 to raise awareness of the grim fact that maternal mortality rates for Black women are up to three times higher than they are for white women.

OK:

It is true that Black women have higher abortion rates than white women,

No, of course she didn’t……

  1. “reproductive justice activists”: if you are on the left you are an activist; if on the right an extremist.

  2. Argie news:

Spanish language media reported last Sunday that radical pro-abortion supporter Maria de Valle Gonzalez Lopez died during what she labeled her “dream” abortion operation. She was 23 years old and was the leader of the Radical Youth in the La Paz municipality in the province of Mendoza […] this was the first recorded death following the approval of the country’s controversial pro-abortion bill passed on December 30, 2020

  3. “The reasons for this crisis are multifaceted. As Vice President Kamala Harris explained in an interview with STAT, “systemic disparities and implicit bias” in health care are major contributors.”

I’m not black, but the disparity bothers me. I woukd like to follow policies that narrowed this gsp. Real policies, based upon evidence. The VP, a black woman, would rather spout Critical Race Theory shit.

  4. In all the photos coming out of the USA at least 75% of black women appear to be lard arses if not morbidly obese. I’m sure this isn’t helping.

  5. Crisis, eh?

Actual numbers.. And explains the “three times” tack they take..
Sounds like a lot, actually amounts to Bugger All due to the extremely low actual incidence.
14 maternal deaths per 100.000 births, for a total of 550 deaths of complications during pregnancy/childbirth (U.S. 2015).

And I’m honestly quite surprised Mexico and Uzbekistan are roughly in the same ballpark at only twice that rate overall.. Mexico has its slums, and Uzbekistan is not exactly a First World country…
And given that the countries with some very decent, if not the best possible, maternal and medical care ( and quite varying attitudes towards abortion ) still hit 5-10 maternal deaths/100.000 births, you can tell there’s a hard lower limit to the numbers..

It’s Salon talking things up for their agenda, but this is blowing things out of proportion..

Incidentally… This means giving birth even under the best circumstances is at least 5 times as likely ( 2000+ times more likely going by actual known cases ) to kill a woman than the immunoresponse/platelet issue that “necessitated” the suspension of the CoVid vaccination programmes..
And I don’t see any government call for a stop to all pregnancies until “they figure out the cause”…

  6. Did I miss a meeting somewhere along the line – of Kamala Harris’s 16 great great grandparents I think 8 are Indian, one is white and seven are Black. Would like to be corrected.
Her conclusion that she is Black makes her filth.
The world has moved on and has more nuance.
Heck I’m nice half the time but it doesn’t make me a nice person.

  7. off topic but with the verdict in and Chauvin found guilty I’m sure no more young black Americans will be murdered on the streets. Except by each other.

  8. When I first saw the video I assumed Chauvin had killed him. As the evidence rolled in I changed my mind – whatever the crime was, if it was a crime, it didn’t seem to me to be murder. Oh well, the judge pretty much instructed the defence to appeal. If Chauvin survives in jail.

More generally I don’t see how jury trials can work if the mob is given the information they need to identify and threaten the jurors. When will this vile notion reach these shores?

  9. A properly conducted abortion is safer than bringing the infant to term.
    Thus, under the Precautionary Principle…

  10. Full marks to Phil.

“systemic disparities and implicit bias” would be well understood by a Brahmin, eh?

  11. St Floyd trial=scam.

Christ one of the jurors was sent a pigs head outside his front door. Alright it was an old address thus showing what useless scum BLM are but talk about intimidation. Jury not sequestered and Med Examiner confirmed no damage to Floyd’s neck.

Both Savid Javid and Blojob Johnson endorsed the vile result.Bulwark against Marxism your arse Theo.
