Who?

Mogwai: ‘I’m surprised anyone listens to Eric Clapton. He’s a complete joker’

We’re still waiting for the “Mogwai is God” graffiti, aren’t we?

The thing about Clapton being that he is a rather good guitarist. You know, musician and all that.

Now, it may well be true that his views on vaccines are not all that relevant to anything at all. You know, Feynman on scientists outside their own reservation of knowledge and all that. But then that also applies to Mogwai and their views on Clapton’s views about vaccines – why in buggery is this shit important?

  1. There’s nothing more rock n’ roll than mindlessly parroting the official narrative of governments and megacorporations.

    20, 20, 20, 20, 4 hours to goooo
    I wanna be vaccinated
Nothing to do nowhere to go oh
    I wanna be vaccinated…

  2. This shit is important for the very same reason that the media breathlessly reports a Twitter doctor’s claim that Oklahoma hospitals are turning gunshot victims away because they are flooded with people who have overdosed on horse dewormer, but then does not report the hospital’s immediate and full denial, including that they have never treated anyone with ivermectin poisoning.

It matters because Twitter allows the original tweet – retweeted by lots of blue tick celebs to millions of followers – to remain up without any sort of ‘misinformation’ label while it bans Harvard scientists for suggesting that vaccination ought to be a personal choice made on a personal risk assessment.

It matters because Twitter doesn’t ban accounts or even remove tweets featuring images of Joe Rogan produced by major newspapers which have been doctored to make him look grey-green as they reveal that he is taking ‘horse dewormer’ after testing positive. (He was taking human formulation ivermectin with other drugs and, he says, three days later has cleared the virus such that he has tested negative. Who knows if this is true? But it’s what he says.)

It matters Tim because we are in the literal fight of our lives. These people are the enemy, and they actually do mean to kill you. They want a population of 400-500 million and this is how they’re going to achieve it. Crazy, but true.

  3. Add- yeah i was trying to remember whether it was the type of creature Gizmo is in Gremlins, or the baddie in last of the mohicans.

Here in the Germany Province of North Korea, “Antifa” are out on the streets. Fighting for Big Pharma, Global Tech Megacorps, and the fucking Christian Democratic Union.

I rest my case that we ended up going down the wrong parallel universe fork some time in late 2019.

A bit OT. I was amused by that program that got experts to review and rank each of the party’s manifesto climate programs and when the FDP came out top the presenter decided she didn’t like it and dumped them to just ahead of AfD, on the spurious grounds that it wouldn’t be implemented.

Germany is going to get the government it deserves at the upcoming election, good and hard.

I have a theory that the reason society seems to be falling apart at the seams is that the internet has fried everyone’s brains. Or rather the information overload that the internet has enabled has fried their brains, coupled with the ‘always on’ nature of social media. People just aren’t capable of dealing with the tsunami of news, opinion and ‘facts’ thrown at them 24/7, or determining whats true and what isn’t. Because they can’t make sense of it all their either fixate on one thing and become monomaniacal about it, or they find another group who say they know the answers and just blindly follow whatever line that group takes across the board. They have lost all sense of individual rationality because their intellect is not capable of making any rational sense out of the data they are submerged in. They are in effect becoming a version of the Borg, plugged in to a collective hive mind.

Yep, and the anti coronafascism vote split between dieBasis and Freie Wähler, each of which will get 4.9% so not make it into parliament.

    Good and hard.

  8. I’m reserving judgement till we hear what Belle and Sebastian thinks about the efficacy of messenger RNA vaccines.

  9. BiNK: whoever is benefiting from this Wuflu crap determined the world was ready when the transgang were unleashed and not met with derisive laughter and pitchforks. If we politely tolerated all the new women and xer pronouns, we’d meekly tolerate hard fascism delivered at needlepoint.

  10. Three things I will never get my head around:
    That the left have become hysterically pro-Big Pharma;
    That the young have refused to mock or bully the mask wearers;
That Right Said Fred have emerged as the voice of anti-establishment protest.

Good theory, I think, Jim. I’m probably guilty of this a bit myself. We probably all are.

The trick is in identifying the truth.

If you can boil the Covid thing down to one canary in one coalmine it is Dr Joseph Varon, for me.

This is a guy who is the head of critical care at a group of hospitals in Texas.

He became known as ‘The Covid Hunter’ by the international media, because he worked something crazy like 400 days straight and had a great record of saving Covid patients’ lives.

He has been interviewed 120+ times about this.

So when the journos rock up, obviously they ask what exactly it is that he is doing to save all those lives – standard journalistic practice, one assumes. It’s kind of the story.

    So far, so uncanaryish.

But what happens next is most bizarre.

Varon tells them – he is using a ‘cocktail’ of drugs including ivermectin.

    And they never report it.

To repeat: they write or carry a breathless piece about the Covid Hunter in which they say he’s saving lots of lives, and they go away and write or edit their piece and they don’t explain how he’s saving the lives, even though he tells them in detail.

Go on the BBC website – there’s a piece about him on there. Doesn’t mention ivermectin at all.

Mystifying. How is this to be explained, other than that the world’s media are being threatened or bribed to keep this quiet?

I’m aware that that sounds crazy so, really – what is the alternative explanation?

    Here’s Varon for anyone interested:

  12. That Right Said Fred have emerged as the voice of anti-establishment protest.

It was prophesied by the ancient scrolls that Richard Fairbrass is your mate and he will stand by you

  13. My canary in the mine is those videos supposedly smuggled out of China in early 2020 – the ones showing pedestrians spontaneously dropping dead in the street and being swept up into piles by men in hazmat suits.

Find out who was behind the distribution of those images, and we’d be getting somewhere.

“ That the left have become hysterically pro-Big Pharma;”

No, they like this one because it appeals to their authoritarian tendencies and allows them to sneer at “anti-vaxxers”, “Covid deniers” and “science deniers”.

Suggest that in that case we allow GMO and watch them freak out.

Scare quotes because they use definitions that suit their own smug purpose. Being vaccine hesitant is legitimate for young people and especially women thinking about getting pregnant and isn’t anti-vax. Saying that for the vast majority of people Covid really isn’t serious doesn’t make you a Covid denier. And most of them haven’t go a clue about the scientific method and think questioning their experts makes someone a science denier.

  15. @Dave Ward Mogwai only have an opinion on Eric Clapton because they’re 50 years old. If they were 25 they’d have no idea who he is. None of my kids have heard of him, one of them knows Mogwai from some soundtrack.

  16. BiND. I mentioned before, I have a mate who is really anti GM, big corporations etc.
After the last lockdown ended we were in the pub and he told everyone he had been jabbed. His face was a picture when I mentioned it contained GMO…

  17. ” I mentioned before, I have a mate who is really anti GM, big corporations etc.

Hence my point – because people can’t cope with information overload they sign up to a group in society who will tell them what to think on any given issue. Your friend has mostly likely bought into the Leftist view of the world, with his anti-GMO/Mega-corps views, so will naturally go along with what the Left say on vaccines as well. No effort at independent thought required.

  18. Imposing CCP type of social credit tyranny on the entire world is what this nonsense seems to be about. No accident that so many political turds are on the same game at the same time.

Hopefully enough like me will refuse and will join in keeping UK open to sink Johnson’s planned winter LD & vax pass power-grab

  19. The scene: Mt. Olympus

Eric Clapton (for it is he) [in the company of George Harrison, George Harrison’s ex-wife, former first lady of La République Française, Sheryl Crowe and sundry others, DVD of ‘Beware of Mr Baker’, Duane Allman’s motorbike, ‘Songs for a Tailor’, The Beano, numerous testimonials from BB King, Buddy Guy, etc. and a copy of Enoch Powell’s most inflammatory speeches]:

    Who Mogwai?
