It can be achieved, we just have to accept modern feudalism to reach it. The mass of the population restricted to public transport (which may or may not be running at any point), unreliable heating and power for your home, liable to be restricted at a moment’s notice.

People simply don’t realise how long it would take to recover from this shitshow, it would literally take years and we wouldn’t have them.
