The Ultimate Sports Network is expanding our service to include coverage of the English Premier League. We require passionate fans of a particular team to communicate with your audience, an audience in need of information and entertainment.
Qualified candidates must be able to communicate utilizing proper grammar.
This a remote position, so qualified candidates must be able to work with a minimum level of supervision and follow instructions when provided.
We are seeking media members that are also passionate about their team, so please apply for your favorite team only.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $5.00 per hour
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Work Location:Fully Remote
They’re looking for folks for pretty much any team. For an addict it would be quite fun. But $5 an hour?
“Qualified candidates must be able to communicate utilizing proper grammar.”
Such as:
“This a remote position…” Isn’t there an “is” missing?
and
“We are seeking media members that are also passionate…” Shouldn’t that be “…who are also passionate…”?
Maybe it was wrote by somebody on $5 an hour. 😉
I am Alan Shearer and I hereby apply. My team is Newcastle Saudnited.
“He wanted it more, Gary, he ran in behind, and he hit the back of the net.”
I claim my five bucks.
Clearly a typo, they must mean per minute.
I’m assuming they’re looking for third world applicants with decent English. Clever really, if you can do it with call centres, why not sports reporting?
“We require passionate fans of a particular team to communicate with your audience,”
I’m just surprised they offering to pay $5/hour rather than charging. The supply of “passionate fans” must be virtually unlimited. They’re quite happy to pay through the nose for merchandising. So why not for access to a platform. In both directions.
I’m guessing the supply of passionate fans who are willing to “follow instructions when provided” is rather lower.
Why are they paying hourly rates for (what appears to be) per-word or per-article output?
How do you pay by the hour for remote work? Shouldn’t that be by the word?
I’d guess you’d have to be available for an hour or so, RlJ.
90 mins play plus injury time. Write the first half report in the interval, 2nd half at the end. 2 hours work, $10. Someone might bite, but if your English is up to it, are there not better jobs, even in Shitholistan? And it’s more than likely they want you to watch on your own time, so actually $2.50.
How does this get around federal minimum wage being $7.50/hour?
Is $5/hr actually a legal pay rate over there?
