Welcome to human beings

Male actors kissing women 20 years their junior is ‘disgusting’, says Sir David Hare
Hollywood age gaps are still not narrowing, with Daniel Craig, 53, currently seen opposite his 36-year-old Bond love interest

If it were generally disgusting then Hollywood wouldn’t show it. They do rather want to get the hordes buying tickets after all.

Age gaps are just a thing in humans.

  1. It works the other way round too (although not as often). I doubt many 34 year old men would object to kissing Craig’s 51 year old wife, Rachel Weisz.

  2. The general rule of thumb for if a partner is too disturbingly young is half your age + 7. I came to this conclusion as part of a research symposium held at a Mess dinner, but it has been independently verified. 53 and 36 isn’t a problem.

  3. I turned 65 yesterday, and my wife is not 40 until next year.

If people find that disgusting, then I’m delighted.

    Disgust, or just jealousy masked?

  5. This is David Hare the elderly queer playwright, yes? What are his views on older men kissing younger men?

  6. Half your age plus seven – they’re well within that range.

And, frankly, 50 year old dudes aren’t that bad and Craig’s still damn good looking at 53.

I was wondering if he had any views on Stephen Fry’s marriage to a man 30 years his junior. Thats probably fine, because reasons…….

  8. The only comment Hare needs (never heard of the turd before now) is “Fuck of and mind your own business”.

Indulging the cunt with a debate is what the mugs want.
