  1. Says much for her career that TeenVogue still describe her as “the Mean Girls star”, a film from 17 years ago – a time before most of the magazine’s target audience were even born.

  2. Yes they do. So yes, he is relatively low ranking if I take that at face value (but frankly who knows as the media isn’t known for being precise and accurate about such things). Given he apparently graduated in 2010 he is a bit behind the average progression too.

    So you’re still in with a chance Tim.

    My guess though is that a Gulfie working in wealth management for an investment bank – the family has money, and he either gets paid for bringing it in, or he gets the job as part of the relationship.

    Or maybe it’s just true love between two young professionals…

    What I thought too, although they seem to have palmed him off with a low level job, so maybe neither him nor the family are up to much.

  4. The thing I love most about snippets like this is the the, as if it’s a role so important there’s only one of them.

    You see the “the” before such job descriptions in serious British newspapers sometimes, often when profiling someone who used to work at a bank but no longer does. It’s a great sign both that the article was written by someone who knows nothing about the subject, and likely a sign that the copy desk has been slashed too.
